Looking to High Eyes, Dory answered, "Not much, except being thrown into a fish suit. You?" He was still rather upset but trying to make light of the costume. Nobody knew who he was so he could just be.
He then glanced at the newcomer by the table of refreshments, "Hey you." he called trying to bring her into conversation.

Pegasus stood just outside the light, looking for a pykiin she could go talk to. She spotted Kira sitting in the Dryad and walked over to the Dryad's base. "Hello! I'm Pegasus, for tonight." She fluttered her white wings and smiled up at the other white garbed pykiin.

Kevin wandered over to a small table set with fruits and hungrily eyed up a peice of apple. Plain, everyday, delicious fruit that satisfied him wonderfully - that was what an apple was. He double checked to make sure no one was already interested in the fruit, then grinned and chomped on it greedily, wondering if one of the Guardians had cut it down to a perfect bite-sized peice just for him.
He dragged a light-colored paw across his muzzle to rid it of a drop of apple juice. Where were those two-legged ones, anyways? Hadn't any of them come to celebrate with them, or was it a pykiin-only party?

Swooping down through the air, Whoop saw the Dryad alight with fireflies and other decorations. He angeled in for the clearing and folded his wings, landing in a heap. Immediately he jumped back up and shook himself.
"THE FUN HAS ARRIVED!" he announced, ignoring the fact that he was late. He looked around happily, marveling at everyone's costumes. Wow, they sure looked neat! Especially the females, they seemed to all be wearing masks and fancy dresses.
Whoop looked down at his own costume, that of a whooping crane. White feathers covered his body and wings, and a beaked mask covered his face. Oh well, he wasn't the only silly looking one--he could see a fish or two hanging around. Besides, it was fun to be silly!
Whoop trotted around to look at everyone, but was surprised that everyone was talking quietly or just standing around. Wasn't this supposed to be a little more lively? "Whoa, is this a party or a funeral?!" he asked out loud.

Pegasus turned at a loud voice to see another white-clothed pykiin. "Well, we couldn't start without you, now could we?" she asked coyly. "I am Pegasus, for tonight at least."

Whoop giggled and trotted up to Pegasus. "Well you sure are!" he said, grinning behind his beak. "I think me an' you are the only animals here! Unless you count fishface, of course." He grinned at Dory.

"Oh, I'm sure there are others." She laughed lightly. "And what may I call you this fine evening?" She looked at him through her heavy lashes, all that was visible of her face. For once, she was enjoying company. She was even flirting a little!

"Not even a little." He said, "They scare me more when they don't have masks" he added with a smail hidden on his face. Although it was very clear by his tone that he was in fact smiling.

Yume shivered beneath her dress, "I'm scared of most Pykiin either way. Scarier with the masks..." she said, seeming to shrink at the thought. She looked at the sky, "And in the dark...."

"You don't seem to be scared of me though, and I won't let anything happen to you, so let yourself have fun." Dory said to Yume. He hoped that she would enjoy herself for at least a few moments.
