[glow=red,2,300]Jane[/glow]
She blinked for a moment as they took flight then giggled. More then likely they had not even heard her. With a delicate shrug of her shoulders she continued on, after all you could not blame anyone if they did not hear you.
There were so many here, milling around in little groups, for a moment her whole body seemed to slump sadly. She tisked herself softy, no point in that she told herself. Then she raised her head to the gentle breeze, so many interesting scents playing within its sightless mass.
It was about now her tummy grumbled. She blushed a little for she was sure someone had heard it. Glancing around she looked for a refreshment table. This caused her to giggle somewhat. Refreshment table that was funny, now she sounded like her guardian.

[glow=green,2,300]Dory[/glow] Splashing a fake fin into the water, being careful not to fall in, Dory looked around the Valley and it's masked inhabitants. Maybe the fish suit was not the disquise of choice, but it was pretty creative, although the suit of armor was pretty cool.

[glow=red,2,300]Yume[/glow]
Yume walked around the Dryad, examining the decorations, but she wasn't calm, for fear of someone sneaking up on her.

[glow=green,2,300]Dory[/glow] Looking at Yume, Dory smiled. "The Dryad won't hurt you either you know. It is dressed up like all of us."

[glow=red,2,300]Yume[/glow]
"Says you," she said, looking at Dory. "I don't like the Tree. It already hurt me, and I'm not going back in," she said, even though she knew that if someone came with her, she would probably go.

[glow=green,2,300]Dory[/glow] He did not understand how others could find the Dryad bad. Listening to many other pykiin complain about the large magical tree, he was happy that he had had nothing but good experiences when entering the hollow that was the Dryad. "I just don't get it." he said out loud, not realizing that this could be considered a question more than a statement.

Yume sighed, "That's because you'd have to experience what had happened in order to understand."

[glow=red,2,300]Jane[/glow]
Well this little adventure had been interesting. She still was none the wiser then before. For a brief moment confusion flickered in her eyes. She had always thought balls were lively and merry, perhaps she had misunderstood some fundamental thing.
She padded down to the river and carefully took a dainty sip of the lovely cool water, then just as suddenly flopped to her rump and began vigorously scratching just behind her right ear. Her eyes fluttered closed in pure bliss, then snapped open wide when she remember she was to be on her best lady like behaviour. Standing up she peeked over her shoulder.
"Oh good" she murmured to herself, it did not seem that anyone was playing her the slightest of attention. Smoothing her gown back down into it correct place she turned from the river and padded silently back towards the dryad.
Upon reaching it she noticed two other pykiin talking so she backed off a little so as not to be ears dropping . Once more she flopped down upon her stomach , then laid her head upon her paws. It was a beautiful night and the dryad did look so very pretty in all her finery.

[glow=red,2,300]Cornelius[/glow]
Cornelius had been watching the happenings from afar, and was struggling to find out who was who behind all the decorated masks and frilly stuff. His Grim Reaper costume didnt exactly fit his personality, but he figured that this would be the perfect chance to act however he wanted. Now if he could just find his mate, everything would be fine.

[glow=Pink,2,300]Swirl[/glow]
Swirl anxiously looked around once more and released the breath she was holding. Her gaze kept flicking back to a pykiin in a reaper costume, and she wondered if she should talk to him. Well... thats what everyone seems to be doing... alright, I'll go, just be yourself. She calmed herself and walked over to the Pykiin, smiling warmly. "Quite a costume, I should've worn one like that!" said Swirl as she reached him. "Hi, I'm Swirl, at least, for the night."

[glow=red,2,300]Cornelius[/glow]
Cornelius bowed to Swirl, being a very gentlemanly Grim Reaper it seemed. "Cornelius" He smiled at her, "Thanks about the costume, it kind of cool, huh?" He looked down at himself, feeling a little better about such a grim choice of dress. "So, whats going on then? I was hoping there'd be music" He thought, looking up at the sky and wishing there was a little more noise to break the peace.

[glow=pink,2,300]Pegasus[/glow] A female pykiin swathed in white walked shyly along the edge of the pond toward the Dryad. She was determined to have fun tonight, and not think about the troubles she was having in her real life. None of that mattered now. She was not <insert name here>, she was Pegasus, for this night only.
The white gown she wore covered every inch of fur, her feet were in delicate silver slippers designed to look like cloven hooves, and her wings were white and sparkling in the dim light. She smiled at the swish of silk over her body, and steeled herself to walk up to the other pykiin gathered at the Dryad.
