Nuri did a small little hop skip jump thing to announce that she was ready to go. Now what coudl she ask him that wouldn't upset him so? SHe thought about a few questions and could see no good outcome, until, "So have you met our other sibling?"

"Another sibling?" Edan asked in disbelief. This family thing was getting out of hand. It was bad enough having two fathers, really. "Ah, no I haven't met him. Or is it her?" Edan was practically reeling with all the strange things happening to him today. Still, at least he didn't feel like he was going to explode.

((I am sure there were three but I can't remember for sure and I don't know where it is if there were three))
"I am not too sure" She said quite frankly, "I live with my mom and that is all I know." She was tellign the truth, Pele had been a bit on edge the last little while since her son had disappeared. She was withdrawn even from the only Pykiin she loved.

((I went to look in the directory. They have a sister Ildri, owned by Jaela. I don't think she's been rp'd at all.))
"And I live with a pykiin that has no connection to the family, as far as I can tell," Edan responded, the irritation back. He stamped a paw restlessly. "Come on, we have to find Toi's sister," he said suddenly, starting to walk up toward the cliff.

((Yay my brain does hold info))
She couldn't think of where her other sibling would be, heck she didn't know where Edan was until now. "You live with someone from a different family?" She asked as she followed him up the cliff.

Toi fluttered around Edan's head. "To the cliff, to the cliff!" she said happily. She looked at both her new friends, noticing that neither of them had wings. "How're you gonna get up there?" she asked curiously.

"Around the back, the slope's not steep," Edan said to Toi distractedly. To his sister he said, "Yes, I live with Serisai and her family."

"Ohhh." Toi managed to be quiet for several minutes, concentrating on traveling and hope-hope-hoping she would find Bergy soon. "La, la, la we're climbing a slope!" she started to sing to herself after a little while.

Edan gave a low rumble in his throat, almost a purr, but of irritation rather than pleasure. Why did the silly flitter have to sing? Why had he met his sister tonight, when he was particularly unhappy with life in the Valley? Why couldn't he have just stayed with his father, outside the Valley? They'd been happy, they'd been true family. Why did everything have to change?

Toi flitted off Edan's back in excitement as she saw they were almost to the top. "Top! Summet!" she said happily. She zipped ahead of the two walking Pykiin and reached the top first, then twirled in a little circle waiting for them, making little excited squeaking sounds.

"So we're here," Edan said with ill grace as he stopped at the top of the hill. "See your sister yet?" He stared down at the small figures of pykiin gathered below, not recognizing any of them. But then, he didn't expect to. He didn't often mingle with others, by his own choice.

"Hmmmmmmmm!!" Toi dragged the sound out, trying to appear like she was thinking hard. She wanted her new friends to like her, so she was trying very hard to do her best. "There's so many Pykiin down there," she said, peering at the colorful spots that dotted across the grass, around the Dryad, and in the other trees of the Valley.
She searched very carefully for the colors she knew so well, the deep teal with yellow and pink mixed in. Or the sparkle of sunlight on silver jewlery. Or a pale blue and white color combo, though she didn't know if Luin had ever made it to the Valley... But she saw nothing like either of those. She saw a big fluffy tan boy. A pale blue and deep pink girl. A dark brown boy with deep forest green. Tiny white and gold, a Flitterkin like herself. A black and dark dark red boy. So many many Pykiin! Toi let out a little whimper of frustration, not seeing anything familiar.
"Well it's about time!" said a short, irate voice directly above them.

Toi's head jerked up and she gave out a little cry of delight. She knew that voice! "It's Bergy!"
"Bergsma," corrected the adult Pykiin. She tipped her pink and yellow wings, coasting down from the air to land next to the little trio of young kiin. She gave them all a brief look over and immediately launched into a chiding speech. "Where did you go, Toi? How many times do I have to tell you not to wander off? Especially when we're in a new place! You know better than that. You had me worried sick!"
Toi ducked her head, a blush hidden by her dark fur. "I-I'm sorry, Bergy," she said quietly, sneaking forward to hug the older Pykiin around her front paw. She couldn't help it, she was so glad to see her sister again!
Bergsma sighed and scooped the little girl into a hug. "Don't you ever frighten me like that again!" she said. Then she turned to look at the orange and black kiin that were standing nearby. "And who're you?" she demanded suspiciously.

Edan was jerked out of his pensive mood back into latent hostility by Bergsma's suspicious attitude. "Edan," he growled sharply. "Just thought I'd help, but I'm sure you'd have found Toi all by yourself without any help from me." He glared at the adult for a long moment, then turned to go.
