"Did you find apples, or is that just wishful thinking?" Dardei followed Chaya and looked up into the branches as well.

"I found them," She grinned and placed the bush down and jumping on a rock nearby and reaching for the apples with her long legs. She only knocked down one. "I can't reach the other, help?"

Dardei climbed onto the rock and put a paw on Chaya's shoulder to steady himself. Reaching up with the other paw, he plucked the apple. He lowered himself carefully and offered it to her. "Here you are."

Chaya smiled and took the apple and smiled. "Thanks," She said and balanced the other one on her head as she grabbed the berries. "Anything else?"

"Something to drink?" he suggested, stepping down from the rock. "I think there's a stream over there."

Chaya nodded as the apple bobbled on her head as she strided down the path. "Where would you like to eat?"

"By the stream," he suggested. "That way we don't have to carry the water somehow." When they reached the stream, he sat down and spread a selection of berries out on a small stone, then looked up at Chaya.

Chaya laid the berris down, keeping her eye on the balance apple and placing the green apple down, along by the red apple. She pushed the green one to Dardei and claimed the red one. "Mm.." She giggled.

Dei picked up the green apple with a smile of thanks and took a large bite. "Marvelous. An excellent way to start the day."

Dei bent his head down for a long drink of water. Lifting it again, he stared across the stream. "It is a beautiful morning." Turning back, he nibbled a few berries.
