Thuell, had been with his two bestest best friends, as he liked to call them, and they called him the same. Aidan and Penzi had adopted Thuell and would not let him go anywhere else. He would be a new member to the growing pounce and live in their den forever, or until they all grew up.

Sugar smiled at all the kiin and adults who were gathered around.
She saw a large box near her den and ran towards it.
"Seri! Addei!" she exclaimed as she looked in.
Inside the box were several different skeins of cotton yarn, dyed all the colors you could possibly imagine, along with some knitting needles and crochet hooks.
"Looks like Jade made a delivery," Sugar replied, smiling. "You guys up for some knitting?"

"Always willing to try something new," Seri agreed with an excited smile. "How do we start?" She regarded the needles and yarn with interest.

"We need to make a square rectangle for the loom, I think that's where we'll need you're help. and then I'll show you how to loop the threads to get them ready for weaving." Sugar replied.

Masashi looked into the pond when she arrived. "It's really, really salty smelling," she commented, scrunching up her nose.
"Very good friends," Kovu and Yooso agreed simultaniously. They looked at each other and laughed, realizing they'd said the same thing.
"Where do you think Chanti and Raki are...?" Kovu asked, looking around the clearing.

"We'll need to find a willing tree first. I'm not excellent at manipulating dead wood yet." Seri considered carefully. "Why don't we start with knitting, and we can work on the loom later?"

"Ok," Sugar replied. "You take the needle and you loop the yarn like this, then take the other needle and loop it like this, then you move them like this, and it's called knit and purl, knit one, purl two. You just keep doing that til it's the width you want it, and make sure to count as you go along so you know how many for the next row."

Seri picked up a pair of sticks and tried to mimic Sugars motions. Slowly, a row of stiches grew on the first needle. "That's not too hard. It might take a while, though."

"Yeah, that's it," Sugar replied. "It might take a little bit, but they'll be warm when it starts to get cold this winter."

Seri started on the next row. "Agreed, it's definately worth it." With a smile, she added, "This time of year almost makes me wish I were a fire elemental. But I could never give up the joys of earth."
