Rosie smiled at the rodeli.
"So you're the reason he grew as well?" she asked. "My name is Rosie, Aidan and I met a long time ago back when we were still kiin, and even my markings changed when I grew, so it's no wonder he didn't recognize me."
She smirked at the hole in the ground, "Or remember me apparently. But that's why I like the winter, things get covered with white...it's as if nature wipes all the slates clean and starts over."

"I was not aware that pykiin hybernated," Seri answered with a private smile for her energetic friend. "Perhaps it is something that happened to the Valley? Or perhaps it is simply the way we are, and we did not know before." Seri suspected her close connection to the earth might have something to do with her sleep, or at least her awakening, but that wouldn't explain everyone else experiencing the same thing.
Seri moved closer to the Dryad, trying to use her elemental sense to see if She too was awaking. She thought she felt a stirring, but it could have been anything. Moving into the growing crowd of pykiin, Seri nodded and smiled greetings.

A small green nose poked out of the greenery of a small evergreen bush, snorting with displeasure at the cold. Nonetheless, the nose was followed by eyes and ears. Tirza shook her head to remove the snow that showered down from the plant's needles. Slowly, she extricated herself from the bush that had sheltered her through the winter. Freed, the lithe green figure settled down for a quick grooming, smoothing the fur of her three swirling tails. Finally satisfied, Tirza set off with a quick lilting stride that somehow kept her paws as dry as possible. Reaching a clearing she recognized vaguely from younger days, she slowed, pulling her tails around her body for warmth and comfort as she approached a rather large gathering of new pykiin.

Against the sparkling white backdrop of the wintery morning, the bright colors of a female pykiin could clearly be seen. She had been taking a casual stroll around the valley all morning, after waking up feeling full of energy. "Ahhh~ Spring is in the air," she said with a contented sigh, gazing at the pleasant sights around her. "This morning everything feels.. so alive!" Marie smiled, and blinked a few times, trying to see better through the strange mist clouding the valley. Noticing that she was near the dryad, she suddenly felt the need to go visit the beautiful, giant tree, so, she turned her path toward it. After a few more minutes of walking, she arrived at her destination. But she paused, and simply looked around at a gathering of pykiin who all seemed to have the same idea as she had. Tilting her head to the side in curiousity, she strode closer to them.

A little gray Pykiin wormed her way out a pile of warm, furry bodies. Yawning and stumbling a bit as she fought to control her legs, which felt like they hadn't been used in months, she turned and surveyed the crowded and stuffy cavern. The entire pounce, with the exception of a few of the soulmated ones--or some of the weirder ones--were all piled together in a jumble of wings and tails and paws. Most of the younger ones were in the center, with the adults grouped around them protectively. The Elvens were the only ones not in the big group huddle. They were all sleeping off in their own little group. Most of the Pykiin were deeply asleep, only the rising of their chests showing that they were even still alive. Only a few, the ones who twitched and muttered in their sleep, looked like they would awake anytime soon, like L'ananas and her father. Deciding it would be a lost cause to try and wake anyone up to play with her, she stepped outside. The bright whiteness of everything momentarily blinded her, and when she could finally see again she let out a little squeal. "Pretty!" She leaped into the pristine snow and played around in for a bit, throwing pawfuls up in the air and then letting it fall back down unti her mouth. Soon, though, she got bored of even this and decided to move on. She didn't know what it was, but something certainly was pulling her towards the Big Tree. Dad said it was the...the...um...Dryad! Yeah! The Dryad! she thought to herself, scampering towards the tree which seemed to loom over the entire valley in her mind. Ignoring the other Pykiin--she'd play with them later--she scampered up the the base of the Dryad. She reared up on her hind legs and placed her forepaws on the smooth trunk, craning her head back to gaze at the branches that arced overhead. Then, with the air of someone imparting great wisdom to the world, Sundari announced, "This Big Tree is very pretty."

((Busy with school, but I didn't forget ^^))
Luz looked at the purple pykiin with a questioning look but after a few moments of silence, the kiin scampered off to the other side of the massive tree. "Excuse me..." Lus dismissed herself politely.
Nieve bounded forward, matching the kiin's pace and coming forth with a more impressive pace. The remiel was looking back before diverting her attention ahead. A sudden grey and yellow blob jumped into her field of site. With some quick thinking, Nieve jumped onto the kiin's head as a first instinct. "Sorry! Sorry! Didn't see you there miss." The blue remiel said, looking down as the grey kiin was looking up the Dryad.
"Oh yes it is indeed very pretty. You should see with all the kiin. Very interesting." Nieve chimed out when she remembered the kiin's statement.
"Nieve! You can't run like that..." Luz came from the other side, breathing in heavy breathes for air. Can that bonded run, she thought. "Oh? What's this? ¿Una Chica? ¿Como está? How are you?"
Luz examined the other one for awhile exhaling out in her heavy spanish accent, "You're my cousin! Or no, you're my aunt's daughter aren't you?"

"It could be something that happened that we never knew before." Angie pondered that thought and it made her uneasy. "I guess we'll just have to wait until we hear from the Dryad."

Bridget ran over to Aiden. "Your colors are pretty. I love yellow it reminds me of the sun." She smiled up at him. "Who are you?" Reilee walked up behind her and looked at the male. "Sorry about her she's a little forward." He snickered at Bridget. "I'm Reilee and this is my daughter Bridget."

The Dryad shook it's leaves happily and produced a handful of gemfruit that it had been storing in it's branches away from prying eyes.
((The gemfruit that have shown up on PI are the ones it is showing right now))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daiki gave a small little once over of Rosie, "Nice markings they are too" He commented to her. "Although I think Aidan has more then just winter clearing his mind" She gave a small little nudge to Aidan's leg.
"Hey I have nothing wrong with my brain you little....." He trailed off realizing that his lack of knowing Rosie seemed to bother her a bit. But he didn't know how he could remember what he orgot yet couldn't understand why he would forget meeting her.
He all of a sudden had an earful of conversation from a young kiin. "Why thanks" he managed to get out of his mouth before there was a question being thrown at him, followed by a large male with introductions. "Hi Reilee and Bridget." He made sure to say both their names so he woudl hopfully not forget, then introduced himself. "I am Aidan" A sharp pain in his toe made him remember Daiki, "and this is Daiki" He said as he brought his now slightly bleeding toe to his mouth and gave his bonded a glare that meant never do that again.
"It is very nice to meet you Aidan." Reilee said in a very welcoming tone. "Dad you forgot about Daiki." Bridget said as she examined the rodeli and the bleeding toe of Aidan's. She couldn't help but feel jealous of the bonded. She should have one too. "That must hurt."
Rosie had a sad smile for just a moment before shaking it off and smiling at the kiin. She knew she had one somewhere, for Jade had told her she would be a mother, but she had almost given up since the Dryad had hibernated as well. She smiled at Daiki's antics about being forgotten, and realized that it wasn't just her, Aidan must forget anything not right in front of him.
"Well, snow or not, I don't mind starting over if you don't Aidan. My name is Rosie and I'm from JadeAngel's pounce. And whether you remember or not, it is wonderful to see you again."
(( Fwee, finally got a chance to type something up. I apoligize for the length and any mistakes or things that may sound funny. D: )) Inside the old pear tree, a little orange 'kiin stirred. Saturn yawned and lifted her head from her paws, squinting. Sunlight had begun to fill the hollow, eventually rousing her from sleep. She beamed. The last time she'd been awake, it'd been pretty cold - cold enough to make going outside not much fun at all. Saturn glanced around at her family, still all sound asleep around her. She tryed to pull herself onto her paws, but found her legs stiff and numb. Huh. After stretching them out a bit by bouncing around, Saturn turned to the warm furry bodies around her and gently prodded her father, but finding no luck in waking him, tryed Springtime instead. Her mom shifted in her sleep, but did not wake. Oh well. She'd just have to make some fun on her own. Exiting the hollow, Saturn glanced around cautiously. Finding the clearing safe and empty, she started towards the surrounding trees, dissapearing in the undergrowth. Not exactly sure where she was going, Saturn followed the short, familiar path through the trees and into the open valley, and then let her paws lead her. They seemed to know where to go. Before long, she found herself heading towards the humungous tree in the center of the Valley, the one everyone called 'the Dryad.' Saturn liked the name. Grinning, she doubled her pace to a run and reached the Dryad in no time, slowing to a walk as she neared its base. She cranned her neck for a moment to see up through the tall branches, and then let her gaze drop down to the trunk in front of her. She placed a paw on it's curiously smooth bark for a moment, but then returned it to the ground and looked about. Seeing a few kiin standing nearby, Saturn bounded over to them. After the light blue 'kiin finished talking, Saturn tilted her head, a little puzzled. "... 'Koh-mo Ess-taz?'" she repeated, pronoucing each sylable seperately. "What's that?" she inquired, taking a tentative step towards the two pykiin. She blushed a little once she'd spoken, embarrassed for 'popping in' on their conversation. "Err, sorry, I just overheard..." she murmured quickly, smiling sheepishly. "But what was that you just said? Komo Estaz?" She tilted her head, pausing for a moment. "I'm Saturn, by the way." She smiled again, this time a little more confidently.
Sundari giggled at the Remiel who had ended up on her head. "Hi! What's your name?"
She took one last glance at the tree and then dropped back down to ground, trying not to cause the Remiel to fall off.
"...Wow...that must be amazing..." she commented. Gazing around, she tried to imagine the whole area covered by broken gemfruits, wobbly hatchlings, and excited parents. It was kind of hard to, though... There just weren't enough Pykiin and things going on currently to make imagining the bustle of activity any easier.
As an adult Pykiin came over, Sundari turned to look, a curious expression on her face. The curiousity soon tunred to confusion as the adult began saying weird things... She had to agree with the other kiin who had just wandered up... What was a como estas?
Something else that the adult Pykiin said was much more interesting to her, though, so she momentarily put aside the question of what exactly a como estas was.
"You're part of my mom's family?" she asked the adult Pykiin excitedly. "Can you tell me about her? My dad doesn't know her very well, you see. He says I look kind of like her, though. Do I really?"
Luz smiled, from what she was getting already, the Valley seemed to be a nice place. Homey and nice pykiin all around. But then again, she hadn't met the rest of her pounce or the rest of the Valley either.
"Well you see mis amigas, 'como estas' means 'how are you'." Luz approached the grey kiin and beckoned Saturn to come and talk too. "Me llamos Luz de Luna, or if you translate it, it would be..."
"That's right! And I'm Nieve, meaning snowflake in spanish. I don't speak much spanish. Okay, maybe non at all. And Luz's name is translated into 'starlight' if I understand it right." The remiel nodded, a look of humorous wisdom creasing into her features.
Luz sighed heavily, partly still catching her breathe and partly because her bonded seemed to like talking so much. But to her delight, she didn't really mind.
"Bueno (well), I haven't met Tia Mizuki alot, but she are pretty gray y amarillo color like she." Luz said, runing her careful eyes over the kiin. "I dont know where to start, honestly. What would you like to know about her?"
Quite so," Seri agreed. "So if there's no news to catch up on, we must find something else to talk about while we wait." She tilted her head, looking around for inspiration.
-------
Tirza was hesitant to approach a group, especially a group of noisy happy kiin, for all they were her own age. Instead, she started toward the group of adults near the Dryad, before she realized how many there were. Turning her path aside, she twined her tails about her and wondered what she should do.
"I agree." Angie smiled. "I had 'Kiin again this season. Mr. Christopher and Ms. Emily. I've gotten to know them over the past few months. Chris is a little slower with learning than some of the Pykiin I know. He still kind of wobbly as a 'Kiin. He also loves to keep me on my feet. It seems I have to heal him every day. Emily is a Daddy's girl. She loves him so much! She doesn't like showing affection though but that's okay with me."
