"That they are," she agreed, stroking the boy who napped at her feet. "Sweet little things." She could almost imagine that it was seasons ago, and Lakrai stood before her, it was little Sonea under her paw. But no, Sonea was long grown, Lakrai long gone. But perhaps, in these kits and their father, she had another chance. Dyami certaintly seemed nice enough, and it likely wasn't his fault he'd missed the hatching.

"I've always wondered how much my life would change if I had a son or daughter to raise. Now I know, it means the world to me, these little kiin." He nuzzled the little girl in his hand, who was still lying in his paw.

"Yes, it's wonderful," Sorka said, remembering when Sonea and Drienne had been born. "They become the center of your life, and they need you so. There's nothing like it."

He looked at the kiin in his arm, then at the kiin at Sorka's feet. "I certainly won't be able to care for both of them and I'm asuming you won't be able to either. As much as I'd love to have both of them, I can't take care of the two of them."He paused for a minute sighing. "One can come with me, and the other can live with you. Aslong as that's alright with you, I'm not sure that we have another choice." Dyami said.

"That's the best way," Sorka agreed, though not without a tinge of regret. She had always regretted the necessity of giving Drienne into another's care. "I should like these kits to know both their parents, though, if that is possible." Sonea had never seemed to mind not having a father, but still it had affected her.

"That is completly fine with me, I agree with that." Dyami looked down at the blue ball of fur in his hands and noticed her eyes peeked open to look around. She shut her eyes only to fall into a deep slumber again. "They do need to know who there parents are."

Sorka nodded, pleased that he agreed. While she certaintly didn't want to impose, she knew that the kiin deserved two parents, and she wouldn't settle for less. A lingering look proved that the little brown kit was sleeping peacefully as well, and Sorka looked back up at Dyami. "So, I suppose we should get to know a little about each other," she said, but made no move to continue. She didn't know where to start, wasn't really comfortable with this stranger yet.

"Oh, right. Well, I'm in the same pounce as Hope, but I live in my own den. I love nature, just taking a stroll through the woods or a nap in the shade of a tree. I'm looking to become an earth-elemental, but I still have a ways to go." Dyami replied, "How about you?"

"Hm. Well, I'm in a rather large pounce. Serisai is part of it, maybe you've heard of her. I live in a cave up in the mountains, that way." She gestured vaguely with a paw. "My daughter Sonea was living with me, but she recently grew up and moved out." She paused, thinking. "What else? I'm bonded to the Syora Kalea, so I've only one requirement to go before I can gain water powers."

"Yes, I've heard of Serisai before." He said after she finished speaking," Where is your syora now?" He said, plainly out of curiosity. "I don't have a bonded yet, but if I'd like to have one to keep me company."

Sorka gestured upwards with her head. "In the trees somewhere. She's never far." Sending a tendril of though out, she touched the syora's mind. Kalea, do come down. Dyami would like to meet you, and you haven't seen the kits yet. The pale bird obediently glided down to settle in the grass next to Sorka.

Dyami watched as the bird glided down next Sorkalai, "This must be Kalea, it's very nice to meet you. I'm Dyami." Turning to Sorka, he said, "She seems very obedient."

Kalea chose to answer herself, snorting delicately into Dyami's mind. She didn't speak aloud if she could help it. Dyami, good to meet you as well. I chose to leave you alone, but who could refuse an invitation to meet kits? She turned her attention to the sleeping little ones, cooing softly to them.
Sorka smiled at her gentle bonded. "Kalea does as she wishes, it just happens that often our wishes coincide." That was precisely as they both liked it.

Dyami nodded, somewhat confused by the reference. He watched as the syora cooed to the kits, the turned his attention to Sorka, "Do you like the mountains?"

"It's quite calm and quiet up there," Sorka said, trying to explain how she loved her home. "The river is wide and fast, but still and calm all the same. My home is under a waterfall, with a still pool beneath. The icy stillness is beautiful." She blushed, embarressed by the flow of words.
