"Sandi. I'm Raina's bonded." Sandi trotted next to Brandy. "She's been so strange lately, I just don't understand it." The remiel shook her head helplessly. "She just won't let me in anymore, and she's no fun at all."
Marai grimaced. "I know. She doesn't want to play anymore, even in the water." Changing the subject, she asked, "How do you know which tree is good?"

"Sandi Ai." She smiled and trotted up to a nearby tree, "Be a good name for someone facinated in me ship." Turning to Marai, "It be good by determining which tree off hand you want to pick, this one looks proper in me eyes, ye too?"
She jumped up to a low hanging branch, "Now, either of ye have some sort of sharp implament so we can retrieve said sap?"

Sandi cast a worried glance over her shoulder at Raina, but shrugged and continued on. "Glad it meets yer approval, Cap'n." She leaped into the tree and extended a sharp claw. "Will this do?"
It took Marai a moment to decipher Brandy's words. "Aye, Cap'n, as ye say."

Tevis nodded and once everyone had split to do their jobs he went off to do his singing a song as he worked."Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me!" he sang as loud as he could wondering if anyone else would join in or if he just look like a dork. Well it was worth a shot so he countinued singing.

"Aye!" Brandy responded to Sandi as she nodded rapidly, “That shall work. Now ye shall just ease the implement slowly into the bark as to not harm the tree, and let the sap flow carefully out.” She motioned to where on the tree Sandi was supposed to infiltrate.
She then looked at Marai and realized that her nonsensical speech had somewhat confused her, “I get it from my pop, just be glad I’m not as great at it.” She said reassuring Marai that most of the stuff she said wouldn’t make much sense to her at first either. “Hold that there shell right about there, so we don’t lose any of that booty.” She then demonstrated where the shell was to be held.

Peri snapped out of her daydreamedness state and grinned at everyone working.
"Yay! The Black Peanut shall sail again!" she giggled

Minute Sonatina, the shy daughter of Haku and Dani, had been following Tevis at a distance. She considered the cheerful boy a good friend, even if she didn't have the courage to go up to him very often. She had just been working up the nerve to go talk to him that morning, when he had joined the group of Pykiin at the lake.
Afraid of talking to strangers, she had hung back in the tall grass and sat down to watch. Now though she had watched for a while and decided everyone looked safe. Slowly Minute Sonatina edged over to the water and cleared her throat.
"T-Tevis!" she called softly, trying to only get his attention. Her tail curled around her body. "Hi, it's Tina. Remember me...?"

Talkane was drawn to the pond by the sounds of splashing, talking, and singing... About pirates?
This is very odd... she thought to herself, standing among the shadows of nearby trees. She gazed silently at the raft bobbing in the water, with the many 'Kiin scrambling all over it and along the shore. A perplexed look crossed her face as she noticed that several of the 'Kiin were slicing trees open, though she shrugged her confusion off.
Her curiosity and the need for companionship outweighed her nervousness at being around strangers, so she stepped out of the shadows hesitantly, unsure of who to talk to first. Who was in charge here, anyway?

Brandy stopped her instructing long enough to notice the newcomers. One looked quite familiar, but from where she was at she couldn’t be too sure. Squinting as hard as she could, she lost control of what her feet were doing and fell from the branch.
It wasn’t a terribly hard fall, but it still hurt none the less. As she got up from the awkward position she had landed in she smiled at the two collecting the sap and nodded letting them be aware that they were doing it well. She stumbled slightly as she reached the ship, “Hello…” She hummed to the girl who seemed to be a bit standoffish. “Talkane?” She asked aloud noticing she did look familiar.

Peri looked up as Talkane approached and ran up to greet her.
"Hiya!" she replied cheerfully. "How are you today?"

((I actually got off my lazy bumm and went and looked up the actual name))
Emerald and Sugar chuckled at the young ones playing on the raft. They were far enough away to give them the illusion of not being watched, but close enough just incase something happened.
Peri smiled and walked around Talkane.
"You look like Orrtha and Casier," she replied after walking around her. "My name is Peridot"

Talkane tilted her head slightly to one side and stared at Brandy. A small smile appeared on her face when she finally remembered the other 'Kiin's name.
"Yep, it's Talkane. Good to see you again, Brandy!" she said, feel rather silly for forgetting her friend. "Are you okay?"
"Nice to meet you, too, Peridot," said Talkane, turning to talk to Peridot. "I'm Talkane. Orrtha's my sister, and I guess Casier must be my half-sister; I've never met her, though."
It just occured to her that it was becoming easier to talk to Pykiin she wasn't well-acquainted with. She hadn't been trying and hadn't noticed it until now, so she was pleasantly surprised. She was pretty sure that all of the talking Sunpaw had forced her to do had caused this change in her personality.

Brandy smiled a bit embarrassed, “You mean that fall? Yeah, I’m fine.” She smiled glad that her friend was coming a bit more out of her shell.
A large idea hit Brandy’s thoughts and her face lit up with excitement, “Peri do you think we could actually sail the Black Peanut? Like down the stream to the Dryad?” She flicked her tail and motioned towards the tiny trickling stream. True it wasn’t wide enough to fit at first, it expanded and would be big enough to fit the entire vessel in it. “We’d have to pick it up and move it a bit further up stream, but I think with all the help we could do it. It would be fun don’t ya thing?”
With each word her excitement for her newfound idea began to increase more and more.

Peri looked back to where Emerald and Sugar were watching them and waited for the ok from her mom.
Emerald smiled and simply nodded.
"If you need help don't forget to ask," Sugar called to the group as she and Emerald stood to follow them.
"Ok Auntie Sugar," Peri called back. She turned to look at Brandy and smiled a huge smile. "Let's do it!"
