If there was one thing that Kaleigh knew it was that she loved her father and her mother. She couldn't imagine not living with them but she had just grown she felt it was time for her to get out of her parent's den and find her own. As she walked away from the Dryad she could feel the ganglyness of her new legs. First thing she thought she should do was walk to the water. She wandered over and looked herself over. She had another tail...She swayed it back and forth watching and feeling the movement. She then sat and admired her faint Stripes. Just like her father's. She started pawing at the water waiting for her father or mother to show up somewhere around the water so that she could explain that she had to find her own den.

((Do you want her parents to enter, or could I bring someone in?))

Sonea padded up the water, expecting to find solitude. She knew she had done the right thing, for her mother and for herself, by leaving her mother's den. Sorka had her own problems, and she had new kiin. She didn't need Sonea, now grown, and always a reminder of a painful past. Sonea knew her mother loved her more than anything, and she returned the emotion, but it had been time. They both needed to move on, to grow.
Sonea was settling at the water's edge when she noticed another figure. She rose and moved toward it. Or rather, her. "Hi. Do you mind if I join you?" Sitting nearby, she explained, "It's so peaceful here, I like to come here to think."

Kaleigh stopped pawing at the water so that she could look up at the figure as she spoke. "Well of course not." She said giving the female a welcoming smile. Kaleigh listened to the sounds of the water and couldn't disagree. "It definetly is peaceful. Which gives one a perfect moment to let go of all her worries and to concentrate on one thing." She said looking out at the water and getting totally tranfixed on the water splashing on the rocks. She frowned a little at the thought of what she was going to have to do with her family.
She then looked back at the female. "I'm Kaleigh. And your name?" She introduced. "Would you mind me asking what brings you out here to think about?" She didn't want to be too intrusive but she thought she should ask just in case.

"The peace without creates a peace within, huh? I've noticed it myself, it's why I come here." Sonea shared a companionable smile with Kaleigh. "I'm Sonea." She looked down, flicking a pebble into the water to watch the ripples. "I don't mind at all, it's nothing I mind talking about. I just left my mother's den, you know, moved out on my own. I'm just hoping it was the right time. I think if was, though. We both needed the space." She fell silent for a moment, a small smile on her face as she gazed on her scattered reflection in the ever-moving water. "And you?"

(( The peace without worry? ))
"It is very nice to meet you Sonea." Kaleigh smiled a warm bright smile. She liked Sonea. She could see the two of them becoming great friends. Kaleigh, too, watched the ripples that Sonea's rock made as she listend to her. As Sonea explained why she was here Kaleigh looked over and her mouth dropped in surprise. Could Sonea really be going through the same thing as she was? The answer was apparent. "I-I have" She stammered. "to talk to my father and mother about the same exact thing. I recently grew and I feel that the den is growing a little too small for our family."

((Huh?))
"Nice to meet you too." Sonea smiled in answer, pleased to have made a new friend so easily. It usually took her longer to get to like someone.
Sonea glanced up in surprise as Kaleigh explained her situation. "That's pretty much how I felt too. I'm sure your parents will understand, and let you go without much trouble." She looked back down to the water. "It was easier for me, I guess. My father and mother weren't together, so I lived with just my mother. She had a new kiin this season, not long after I grew. She could see it was better for both of us if I left, and we both know we still love each other even though we're not together all the time anymore." Sonea hoped Kaleigh understood what she was trying to say. The important thing was that everyone was left knowing there was no offense, no anger, that everyone still loved. The need to grow up could not be stopped, and parents and child alike had to accept and understand that need. "I'm sure your parents will understand."

(( Nevermind. Hehe. ))
Kaliegh sighed. Of course her parents would let her go. The question was not about them letting her go it was more about could she let go of them. She loved her small little family more than her own life. She knew that once she let her family go she would have to live her life for her and make her own decisions. Wasn't that what made an adult? Responsibilty and all that. Was she ready to become an adult just yet? Well she'd have to learn. And pretty quick like. "I know my parents will understand. They are very understanding Pykiin. I know they love me and will want what I want. I'm just trying to figure out if being on my own is what I truly want." Kaleigh explained. "My parents are together and I am thankful for that. I've lived with an unending supply of love. I'm just worried that I won't see that amount while I am on my own. I think that the supply has become a natural thing for me. What does it feel like without it?" She knew her words were kind of towards her inner self and she didn't expect Sonea to understand. Kaleigh hoped she would but she knew it was a long shot.

"Ah, that's harder." Sonea nodded slowly, trying to think what she could say to help. "I think you wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't right for you." She didn't expect that to help much, though. It was a thing that was hard to explain, and she said so. "You know, I thought about leaving for a while before I decided I should, and even then, I stayed because I didn't want to talk to my mother about it. That made it harder in the long run, I think." She thought about that for a moment, then shrugged. "Not that it matters, really. The point is, the love is still there. No, they're not right there all the time, but the love is still there. It never goes away. I don't think it ever will." Sonea smiled, knowing that the words were as much to herself as to her companion. She had needed to say them out loud, to acknowledge them.

(( Sorry it took me so long. I had it typed up and then my computer shut off and then I retyped it and my uncle forgot to tell me he was cutting the power supply to check something and I'm moving into my new dorm and been a little busy. I am truly sorry! ))
"I'm kind of scared of talking to my dad." Kaleigh stated.
"Scared of talking to me about what?" Jayden chimed in walking towards his daughter and her new friend with a blue remiel following him.
Kaleigh jumped up in shock. Now she'd have to talk about it. SHe was hoping to mentally prepare herself. Now she was being thrown out to the sharks. "Uh..Well.." She stammered. "Who's that?" She tried changing the subject.
"When did you grow?" He asked her. She was so different. Why hadn't she come home yet to see him? "You got another tail. You look like your grandma." He gave her a huge smile.
Kaleigh looked at her paws and blushed at her father's compliment. She looked up to see him smiling but in his eyes she could see hurt. She knew it was because of her. She guessed it was probably because she chose not to talk to him but she didn't really know. "I just grew dad. I came here to think for a minute. I was going to come to you but apparently that's not needed now." She looked back at her paws. "Now wil you please tell me who you brought with you."
"I didn't bring anyone. He came looking for you." Jayden said as he bent his head to look at her. He didn't like her hiding from him.
"You must be Kaleigh." The little blue remiel said as he walked to stand beneath her and look up at her. "I am Taylor. I believe you are to be my bonded."
Kaleigh looked down at the remiel in disbelief. She then looked at her father not really knowing what to think. "Well..uh..hi. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too." Taylor said as he smiled up at her. Trying, unsucessfully, to make her a little less shaken up.
Kaleigh searched around trying to find anything to change the subject to, when she ran her eyes over Sonea. What a rude friend she must be not to introduce them. "Sonea. I'd like you to meet my father, Jayden." she then raked her eyes over the bonded creature now perched on her paw. "And apparently my new bonded, Taylor."

((No problem, don't worry about it.))
Sonea was about to answer, when another voice did so. Looking up from the water in surprise, Sonea could instantly tell this was Kaleigh's father. Not only did they look remarkably alike, they carried themselves in the same way, unmistakably related. Sonea simply looked from one to another as they talked, not wanting to intrude. After all, this was going to be a delicate discussion, Kaleigh didn't need any interference.
When Kaleigh introduced her, Sonea nodded deeply to both of them. "It's nice to meet you, Jayden, Taylor." Looking at Jayden, she added, "You've raised a fine daughter, we've been getting along wonderfully in no time at all." Turning to Taylor, she said, "I look forward to getting to know you in the future. And you as well, I hope," she added, looking back up at the adult.

Jayden sighed. Kaleigh was never going to get to the matter at hand. He looked at Sonea. She must know something or else Kaleigh wouldn't have said something to her about not wanting to talk to him. Maybe he could get the answers he needed out of her if his own daughter would not tell him. He was deeply saddened by this fact. "Very nice to meet you as well, Ms. Sonea." He gave her a welcoming smile. He then looked at his daughter as he replied, "Of this I have no doubt. She has grown up wonderfully." Taylor chuckled. "I believe we will have the pleasure." He smiled at the female.
Kaleigh watched the exchange. She liked that she could have a friend that would get along with her family. She knew not everyone seen them as the wonderful Pykiin they were; her father sometimes came off as overprotective to other Pykiin. She knew it was just his nature. His mother was the same way. She also knew that she could not delay the inevitable for very long. She was so much like her father that she knew it was eating him up inside. But what was a few moments? She knew her father would not drop it so when he brought it up again she would of course speak of what she needed to.

Sonea smiled again at Jayden and Taylor. She got a good feeling from them both, like she would really like to get to know them. But now was not the time. Kaleigh's silence was telling. Was she nervous to speak in front of her, or was she just postponing the inevitable? Either way, she needed to get along with it. Sonea turned her sharp eyes on Kaleigh. "I know Kaleigh had much to tell you both, so perhaps I should go. I'm sure I'll meet you all again soon."

Kaleigh looked at Sonea as she spoke. She gave her an apolegetic look. "No! No! Sonea please stay!" She pleaded with her eyes. She needed Sonea now more than ever!
"Please will you just tell me what you have to tell me?" Jayden in turn pleaded. "It can't possibly be as bad as you're making it out to be." He was starting to get a clue to what it might be by this point. He just wished she would have more faith in him.
Kaleigh looked back to her dad. "Dad I'm moving out." She spit out. Afterwards she sighed. It really wasn't that bad just the anticipation was killing her, she guessed.
"Now was that so hard?" Jayden said as he sat down. It was the exact thing he thought and it wasn't nearly as bad as having to deal with her getting soulmated or having 'Kiin of her own. She was his baby after all. He knew that she would still be close. He also knew that, apparently, it was as hard for her as it was for him. If not harder. "I knew this day would come. You should have some faith in your old man." He gave her a joking smile.
"You're not mad?" She sat down next to her father and looked up into his eyes. "Or sad?"
"Well, of course honey but it had to happen sooner or later." He smiled with nothing but warmth in his eyes. Kaleigh seen the warmth and automatically her nerves settled even more. She was going to miss that first and foremost. "You can only be a 'Kiin so long and the den really isn't big enough for a bunch of adults."
She was riddled. Really it was a million times easier than she had thought. Why did she think her father would take it the wrong way? He really was an understanding Pykiin.
