((I just felt like RP'ing Hoshi. xD And this is a rariety after all. Me. RP'ing.))
Hoshi laid under The Dryad, in the middle of the daytime at that. Most knew the Starry family was 100% nocturnal. Hoshi's reason was so he didn't have to talk to many pykiin at night. He had his head rested on his paws, and sighed. He gazed up into the branches. Staring at the gemfruits that had yet to meet their parents in the valley. Being bored. Hoshi stayed up till the daytime to meet new pykiin.

The creamy pelted Pykiin would gracefully pad her way through the brush. Her keen scent picking up on a near by Pykiin would send her cautiously through another bush and before long, Nephele would pause, coming close. As she snaked her way to the path, she stopped suddenly noticing that the scent she was picking up on was an unfamilar male. Nephele squinted her eyes studying the male. He looked so very familar to her, but his scent was not ringing a bell. Confused, the wide eyed pykiin just stood frozen, un aware of how ridiculous she had to have looked.

Hoshi moved his head only slightly so he could stare at the beautiful adult female pykiin. He stood perfectly still, in the very relaxed position, the only sign he was still alive was his chest moving, as he breathed. He raised a side of his mask, staring at Nephele with curiosity, as she stood there. A gust of wind moved the branches above, letting sunlight patches change. The heavily shaded area where Hoshi was, was suddenly filled with sunlight. he hissed and recoiled to a shadier area.

Nephele moved to the left of the path, her hind legs lowering a bit providing support to her front legs which seemed to cautiously step closer to the familar Pykiin. As she grew closer, the Pykiin before her had shifted in position quite abrubtly which caused Nephele to pause, her duel tails flickering behind her. Those small beady orbs scanned over the nightly painted Pykiin, a small smile forming on her delicate lips. "Hello, there. My name is Nephele, no need to be affraid." Her ignorance had caught the best of her, thinking that she had scared this male Pykiin.

Hoshi, turned to look at Nephele. He rolled his eyes, and nodded his head. "Hoshi, charmed to meet you, Nephele." He said yawning at the end of his sentence. "If you want to strike a conversation then come over here... I detest sunlight.." He said rubbing his eyes with the back of his paw.

Nephele stumbled forward at her misconception. She blushed lightly underneath her creamy pelt before she'd shake it off, gracefully slinking closer. Her small beady eyes shifted from Hoshi to the patch of sunlight that divided them. "Charming.." she managed to mumble, a little beside herself. She had returned to the Valley thinking she'd find some familar faces, but every where she looked seemed to rein the unknown. She pondered slightly, quickly changing the mood. "You look like a Pykiin I use to know, although he was a little more friendly.." she crinkled her nose as the memories began to flood back. "..I believe him to be Yue."

Hoshi was silent, his head resting on his front paws. "My father." He replied simply. "He is soulmated to my mother, Solar. I am the youngest out of triplets. My older sister Tsuki, and my older brother, Nakama. Yes, I am very blunt. And I guess you could consider me rude." He said, musing now. He looked up to Nephele and smiled breathtakingly at her. With what looked like true happiness on his face. "Does this suite me better?" He asked politley. "Anywho," He said going back to his relaxed position. "How would you know my father?"

Nephele narrowed her eyes at the mocking pykiin, growing greatly annoyed. It was hard to displease Nephele, but given in extreme circumstances she could hold some what of a temper. She unpatiently flicked her duel tails and on occansion they would thump against the surface of the ground. As Hoshi played through his emotions..or should we say lack of, Nephele glared at him, those round black orbs igniting with fustration. She then relaxed as he began to unfold what she though to be certain.
Still unpatient with the Pykiin, she offered a forced, coy smile. "Sounds like he's been rather..busy. I grew up with him, at one point we were like best friends and then I went away. The dryad picked him and mostly all my other friends to be grown before myself. I returned once again before I would grow and noticed that him and several others had ..mates and kiin of their own. I was still a kiin myself..it was very hard." She paused, almost forgetting who she was talking to. "Anyways, I'm sure you really care and all. Just tell him Nephele says "Hello" if you ever see him."
She paused before she'd turn back around slowly dragging her paws, there was a little less "step" in her walk.

((Congrats on your 400th post. ^^))
Hoshi sighed, and got up. In a few swift strides he was next to Nephele. Matching her pace. "I'm sorry that your friends have 'grownup' And I'm sorry you had to go through that." He said pausing focusing on sunbeams. "And, I may sound rude, and I may seem uncaring. It's just I have troubles with my emotions. So if you hate me I can understand. A lot of pykiin already do." He replied watching his paws carry him.

((Thanks! -hugs- XD))
Nephele, who had a heart the size of the Dryad, slowed her pace allowing Hoshi to step beside her. Although she was a very fragile and vulnrable creature, she hardly gave anyone the advantage. She sniffled, twitching her nose before she'd slowly turn her head in Hoshi's dirrection, gazing at his feet, never his eyes. "Hate is a strong word.." she said quietly, her small voice seeming to underline to word hate. "Besides, you are the first friend I have made so far. I'm not the best at doing that I guess. At this point i'll take what I can get." She lured them to the shade, slowly moving to sit on her haunches.

((-feels loved- Yay.)) Hoshi sighed in relief when they were in the shade. "Thanks..." He said smiling a bit. "And, do you really think of me as a friend?" He asked turning to her. Puzzeled greatly by why someone would think of him as a friend.

Nephele shrugged softly underneath her creamy pelt. She gently lay her muzzle ontop of her front paws as she moved her eyes to gaze up at him. "We seem to be having a friend like conversation now? I dunno..I never had long term friends before, so it's hard for me to put my paw on it. If you don't want to be my friend though..I understand as well." Her ear flickered with sensitvity. "Hoshi, can I ask you something?" She paused, lowering her eyes. "What's it like to have..a family?"

Hoshi's body shook, if you weren't looking directly at him. You might mistake his laughter as sobbing. He looked at Nephele, a small smile on his face. " What a question.." He said. Amusement evident in his tone and eyes. "Family is..." He paused musing. "Mine is complicated and depressing, in my opinion." He looked at the blue sky. Grimacing at Daylight. "Though, I guess, not all pykiin famliy's are like that. I guess... when you are with pykiin you like.. you love. Then I guess it's wonderful." He said, dazed.

Nephele offered a warm smile in return to his laughter but it slowly faded with his reply. She pondered on his words, wondering if she at one point had made any of her former family depressed. Maybe that's why she was alone now. She frowned underneath her graceful expression wondering if Hoshi was possibly just as lonely as herself. Neph tilted her head, her eyes following his. "And you don't love your family?" Neph had never had to ponder about that emotion before, there was never anyone close enough to have to use it with.

Hoshi shrugged his shoulders. "I can't hate my family. I love them, I just don't agree with most things they do. Nor do I care for pykiin that are like them. But I love them." He looked at Nephele for a second. "I know it's confusing. but you can never hate your family. Thats a fact of life. Sure, I may dislike them. But I don't hate them." Hoshi paused, studying the grass. "I sound like a broken record. Sorry." He said ending his sentence with a sigh. "What about you..? Don't you have a soulmate..? I mean. Your beautiful. I would be surprised you didn't."
