Nephele nodded as Hoshi over explained himself. She was a very patient and gentle Pykiin who loved to listen. She then blushed unexpectedly at his last statement. One of her tails swiftly snaked around her body so that the tuft of her tail hide half of her face. She smiled under her tail, quickly shaking her head. "A soulmate? No, no...and no. I mean, it's not like i'm opposed to having a soul mate, the idea sounds fine and dandy, but you have to have a bond with someone first. And being the Pykiin I am and my reclusive nature, I've hardly had anyone to be close with. It's a curse." She smiled quickly pulling her tail away, "Thank you..though" she whispered.

"Mmmm..." Hoshi replied. He focused on a dragonfly in the distance. "Do you like being alone..?"

Nephele's eyes drifted following Hoshi's. She soon spotted the dragonfly, dazing off. She pondered hard at his question before she'd answer him. "No..but at times it has it advantages.."

Hoshi looked at Nephele. "If you don't like it most of the time. Then why be alone in the Valley..?"

"Well, it's not really a choice, I mean everyone I knew has grown far apart and has made lives of their own. It's hard for me to make friends in fear that they will some how go..away." She shrugged softly, the thought sending a chill down her back. "My greatest fear is loss."

"Losses happen so we appreciate what we have." He replied in a smooth voice. "I honestly envy those who have a horrid life." he mused. Smiling a bit.

"But if we loose everything we have, what is left to appreciate?" Her tone suddenly sullen and bleak. She sighed and as she sloqly gazed up at Hoshi, his smile allowed her to relax a bit, secretively smiling back, underneath her depressive tones.

"The future, and what may become of it." He said, looking off into the distance.

Nephele, now being encouraged to lighten up, quickly changed pace in emotion. She sat up curling one of her tails around Hoshi's tail. "Hey..let's do something..anything." She peered down at him with begging eyes.

Hoshi's long fur rose on end when Nephele curled one her tail's around one of his. It had been so long since he had been touched. "Uhh.." He stutttered. His mind was blank. "Why not go to your place...?" He asked. Making a fool of him self.

Her grip tightend a bit at his expression before she'd gently release his tail. A funny feeling tugged at the pit of her stomach, but she couldn't quite understand it. Nephele nodded softly, "Sure, then you can see my hole in the wall den." She released a soft snicker, finally feeling at ease. Follow me, it's not to far from here.."
With that she slowly paced her self and headed off north of their meeting spot.

Hoshi tilted his head to one side, and followed obediently behind Nephele.

As they approached an old dusty den, Nephele blushed softly. There seemed to be cob webs and vines growing at the entrance giving it a spooky appeal. "Home sweet, home.." she mumbled using the tip of her nose to push through the blockage. "Oh and watch your head.." Nephele quickly ducked, avoiding a large tree trunk that caved down in the middle of the Den. Inside the den was cool and nearly pitch black. There was really only enough room for Nephele and a half to live comfortably in the Den, which is why she hardly spent time in it. "So..here we are. I lost my old den when I lived here. Moving back was a pain, all the nice dens were taken.'' She sat silently looking over her shambled home.

Hoshi chuckled to himself. "Did you look hard enough..?" He asked, one of his tails sweeping dust off the ground.

Nephele offered a playful grin, quietly moving deeper into the den. She stretched, releasing a soft yawn. "Well, I guess deep down inside I fancy this place. Keeps the strangers away." she nodded, some truth behind her words. "So, your den must be always blooming.."
