((This is to introduce my new amazing custom pair.))
A strange pair of pykiin walked into the Valley, the male slightly ahead. When they reached the end of the trees, the female hung back as the male scanned the area for possible dangers.
“C’est en sécurité, ma chérie,” the big green male called back softly. The grey-blue female moved up silently to join him.
After a long look of her own, she agreed. “Vraiment, mon angé.”
“That’s a pretty name.” When the little kiin spoke from a branch above their heads, they both started in fear, the male taking a defensive stance while the female dropped behind to watch his back. “Is that your name, Chérie? And Angé? Very pretty names,” the little blue one concluded, dropping down from the branch. “Not like mine. I’m Sonea.”
The female was the first to speak. “Chérie will do as well as any other,” she said decisively, with a laden glance at the male. Her twin tails swished rhythmically.
The male picked up the thread. “I, then, will be Angé.” He didn’t seem displeased with the new name.
“I’ve been waiting for you,” the kiin, Sonea, announced unexpectedly. “Two such illustrious guests could not be left to wander without a guide.”
Chérie and Angé exchanged a glance. Illustrious guests? Such a strange reception in this strange land.
“Je pense que – I believe we will do quite well sans assistance, enfant,” the female answered. She didn’t like the idea that someone knew they were coming. After all, that could mean someone knew where they had gone, and might follow.
Sonea looked surprised, but acquiesced. She left, with only one glance back at the strange pair.

Angé watched as Sonea left. “Peut-être we were too hard on the fille, Chérie,” he offered.
“She was waiting for us,” the female answered. “I don’t think that bodes well for this new land, qu’est ce que tu pense?”
He shook his head. “So they knew we were coming. It doesn’t mean they intend us harm, or that we are in danger from our past.”
Chérie nodded reluctantly. “She did give us new names for our new home. Peut-être tu est vrai. I shall endeavor to be kinder.”

Akio and Kohana had been wandering around for a while, talking of breeding season and the new arrivals to come, when they found themselves upon a different arrival.
"Hey, Kohana," Akio poked his pouncemate. "Who are they?" He asked, directing her vision to a pair of adults and one Kiin. He watched as the small blue kiin left, and the two adults were left alone.
Kohana watched the act, as well. "I'm not sure.. They must be new. Let's greet them!" Kohana said happily. She padded towards the pair, Akio close at her heels.
Once they reached the two Kohana stopped, and as she opened her mouth to speak, Akio spoke for her. "Hello! I am Akio, this is my pouncemate, Kohana. Are you two new to the valley?" He asked. Kohana frowned at her own lack of speech.

Angé immediately stepped in front of Chérie when the two adults approached. A single kiin was one thing, but adults could be dangerous. "We are," he said cautiously, taking in the pair. A male and a female, but they didn't seem to be mated. For one thing, the female walked in front, a dangerous position that no male would force upon his mate.
Chérie watched the others over Angé's shoulder, ready to run, fight, or negotiate as necessary.

Kohana decided it was her rightful time to speak. "Well then.. Welcome to the valley!" She smiled. She became confused as the two took on such strong positions. "Oh.. Em.. Sorry.." She said, backing off.
Akio tilted his head. "Hey now," He said sing-songy. "Do we pose as a threat to you?"

"I don't know, do you?" Angé asked the other male. "Please understand, we are used to being careful."
"C'est vrai," Chérie added from behind. After a moment's indecision, she said, "I am called Chérie, and this is mon Angé."

"C...verrr aay?" Akio tried to repeat.
While Akio continued to try and pronounce the words Chérie spoke, Kohana decided to speak. "No, no, we mean no harm I promise! We're just trying to be friendly." She nodded in a friendly manner. "Pleasure to meet you two." She said.
"Now.. where did you come from?" She asked curiously. "If you don't wish to share that, I understand."

Angé relaxed and nodded, more friendly. "May we know your names?" He asked, recalling that Chérie had told them theirs.
Chérie smiled at the other female. "The pleasure is ours, I'm sure." Taking a breath, she answered the query. "You wouldn't have heard of it, and it will be better if they do not hear of us."
((We have guests, and then we'll be going to dinner, so I'll see you tonight.))

"I'm Kohana, and that's Akio." Kohana smiled as they relaxed. Akio quickly gave up with a huff.
"Oh, well that' alright!" He said brightly. "SOOO. You guys been here long?" He asked?

"We have just arrived, mon ange et moi," Cherie answered. "It's nice to meet you, Kohana and Akio."
Ange faded back a little, letting Cherie come forward to stand beside him. "What can you tell us of this place? Will we be welcome to stay and live here?"

"Oh sure!" Kohana and Akio said in unison. Kohana batted Akio away and continued. "Anyone's welcome here in the valley!" She told them. "Even the weirdest of Pykiin are accepted here. That's how Akio and I got in." She giggled. "But yes. Anyone, anything, any.. whatever is welcome here in the valley with open arms." She said as warmly as possible.
"And there are plenty of homes for you to live in here! Some already made, some waiting for Pykiin to create. The possibilities are endless!" Akio said in a used car salesman manner.

"Then I am sure we shall find a place to stay," Cherie said, casting a relieved glance at Ange. "It is a fine thing to have a home, and we thank you for your help, both of you." Ange nodded agreement, lifting a paw and touching the charm at her foot unobtrusively, as though to reassure himself that it was there. To himself more than to her or the others, he said, "And we may be together at last."

"If you need any places to stay we'd be more then welcome to give you a temporary home!" Kohanna suggested. "Our friend Moose has been making dens near his in preparation for the new Kiin, which won't be coming for a few weeks. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you staying in one of them."
"And no problem, it was our pleasure." Akio smiled. "We love to meet newcomers! "

Cherie glanced at Ange, who deferred the decision with a tilted head. "Merci beacoup, you are quite generous. We appreciate your help and will gladly accept your hospitality."
Ange nodded with a smile. He knew how hard it was for Cherie to be polite to strangers, after what they had been through to be together. "I am certain that an appropriate place for a permanent dwelling will present itself soon enough."

"Yay! Okay, all you need to do is follow us to Moose's den, then we'll find you something." Akio told the two. He was quick to hop in front of Kohana to lead the way, as she wasn't as familiar with forest as he. "You may want to prepare yourselves. Moose is.. Well.. Weird. He's great! But weird." He warned them.
"Hopefully we won't run into Harmony and Khairi on our way down.." Kohana murmured. "Not that I don't love Khairi, but he he can be rather... Er.. Unpleasant. But we'll try avoiding his parts of the forest." She said unsteadily.
