Cherie and Ange fell in after Kohana. Unconsiously, their feet moved together and they walked in step. Cherie's face grew worried as the two spoke of other pykiin. "Combien- How many live in this area?" she asked, masking the worry in her voice as she couldn't in her face. Ange brushed her hind legs with a tail to reassure her.

"Oh not too many," Akio told her. "And barley any in Moose's area of the forest.. The only we relaly know of that live in that area are Moose and his daughter Kambo, come to think of it..." He said, almost to himself. "So you'll be left with plenty of privacy," He said as warmly as possible. He wanted them to feel safe, at home.

"Ah," Cherie said with relief. So used to hiding their love, it would take time for the pair to be truely comfortable with others.
"That sounds perfect, and we again thank you for your assistance," Ange added, striving to be as polite as possible. He cast about for a way to make conversation, settling on, "So have you families of your own?"

"Oh yes, we both do." Kohana smiled happily, thinking of her Kiin and Sunshine. "We having soulmates and both Kiin of our own. I have three, two girls and a little boy. My soulmate is basically amazing... So yeah." She giggled like a love-struck kiin.
"Mine's betterrrrrr." Akio teased. "Haha, yes, I have two of my own as well. A little girl and a boy. My girl looks just like me." He said proudly. "Oh, there's Moose!" Akio laughed, pointing to the Elven covered in berry juice.
"Hai!" Moose shouted, sitting on his cave floor with berries all around him. "Lookie what Kambo got me- OH!" He exclaimed, noticing that the two had brought guests. "Ahem.." He coughed, lifting himself from the ground. "Hello." He said firmly to the couple. "I'm Moose!" His tone lightened a bit.
Akio and Kohana both laughed histarically at Moose. "Oh, Moose," Kohana said between her giggles. "You never cease to amuse us.." She slowly regained her composure to speak. "These are our new friends, Ange and Cherie," She began, "They're new and looking for a temporary home." The female told him.
"Oh are you?" Moose asked. "Well I certainly have something for you!" He smiled. "Please follow me."

Cherie flicked her tails as the two spoke of soulmates, and Ange again touched a light paw to her charm. "Qu'est ce que c'est- What is a soulmate?" she asked cautiously, but with an undercurrent of both fear and excitement. She was momentarily distracted by their arrival, and the presence of Moose. "Bonjour, monsieur Moose," she said with a deep nod. "We are grateful for your hospitality.
Ange nodded agreement, bowing his own head. "Merci beaucoup, you are quite generous."

"A soulmate is the Pykiin you spend the rest of your life with... You're true love." She tried putting it in terms any Pykiin could understand. The thing Kohana thought of when she heard soulmate was Sunshine, and replying with "Sunshine" wouldn't really be too understandable..
"No problem, the pleasure is all mine. I have too much space for my own good anyway.." Moose replied. He led the pair to a largish cave, the floor covered in a moss bedding. "Will this do, or would you like to see your other options?"

"There is a name for what we share?" Cherie asked incredulously. "In the village, there were none who loved as we do." Cherie tried and failed to wrap her mind around the idea that lifelong love was commonplace here.
"Ma Cherie, my soulmate," Ange whispered in her ear, causing her to blush faintly. Surveying the cave Moose offered them, he answered, "This will do admirably, you are a gracious host."

"Oh gosh... I'm so terribly sorry." Akio replied. "Well, atleast you two are together now, and we couldn't be ahhpier for you." He said, Kohana smiling and nodding in agreement.
"WELL now, I am rather gracious, aren't I?" Moose asked regally. Akio was quick to thwap him (so to speak) on the head.
"Ignore him, please." Kohana chuckled. "He means to say thank you and that he is glad to have you here." Moose nodded in approval.

The two were beginning to be overwhelmed by the kindness and helpfulness of all these pykiin. "You have been so much more than kind, all of you, it seems not enough to offer you thanks..." Cherie was worried that they had nothing to offer in return, not even hospitality.
Ange was less worried, but naturally backed up his beloved. "If there is aught we can do to repay your assistance, please let us know."

"Oh, no, not at all!" Kohana said. "We're just a nice bunch." She half-grinned. "We love to help others out, and you guys deserve to be in peace together." She told them.
"Weeeeellll... My paws have been-"
"Moose!" Akio scolded. "No, we're fine, it 's our pleasure to help you."

"Well, then all I can say is Merci encore. It doesn't seem like enough, but if you're sure..." Cherie accepted their goodwill with uncertainty. She'd never known others to help because they could, and not for some sort of expected gain.
Ange understood better than his love. "Then I hope our love brings you joy as well, and tender again our thanks."
