He made his way quietly through the brush. He could hear others but couldn't see them yet. He was so tired of walking, but hesitant at meeting others. He wasn't always accepted as others were.
He found a nice dark shadow and decided to rest, to wait until nightfall before emerging into this new valley. No need for everyone to really see how much of a freak he was until it was too late to get rid of him.

Palmer stepped into the Valley for the first time, gazing around in wide-eyed wonder. After listening to the stories told by Ryuu, she'd still never imagined it would be this wonderful! The cool breeze was stirring the grass, and the sky was painted beautiful reds and golds as the sun was setting. She was a little nervous about meeting other Pykiin, so she walked catiously and stopped often. She was glad she hadn't seen anything alive...other than a few birds and butterflies... so far. He glanced up as he heard someone approach. Moving further into the shadows, he peered out and smiled at the young kiin, who also looked as if she was looking into this new place.
"Hello little one," he said in a soothing tone.

Palmer uttered a high shriek and jumped, all four paws leaving the ground. The moment they touched the grass she spun around, her eyes darting in every direction, searching for the source of the mysterious voice. She had never heard something so deep and powerful before! "W-who's there?" she stuttered, looking for anything nearby that could be alive and talking.

He calmy stepped from the bushes, and smiled at the little one. "I promise, I will do you no harm," he replied as he stepped out. His golden topaz eyes shining in kindness.  |

Ebony took a step while she balanced herself on the tree. It was a thin limb, and she knew it might snap. She took her chances, until she heard the snap herself and went tumbling down to the ground. She hit her head on something hard and then looked up, seeing a scared kiin, that looked like a cheetah and then saw a grown pykiin with beautiful golden hair and...huge canines.
She got up and shook the grass out of her fur.
"Um...Hola?"

Palmer's shining black eyes grew even larger, as she beheld the first Pykiin she had ever seen. She could tell he was the same type of being as she was, and his voice gave him away as distinctly male. Other than that, she could only guess. He didn't have a slim tail at all, but the biggest and fluffiest tail she'd ever seen! Along with his thick mane and the big mop of hair on his head, he also had short ears, long wicked looking horns on his head, and sharp fangs poking from his mouth.
Palmer scuffed her front paws in the grass and took a little step back. She wasn't truly frightened, for he sounded so kind. He just wasn't anything at all like she expected.
"Y-you are a Pykiin, aren't you?" she asked quietly. "I've never met someone like me . . . and, well, you don't . . . really look much like me. . . ." She looked up at him questionably, looking for answers.

Palmer uttered her second shriek of the day and jumped back as something small and purple fell from the tree above and landed on the ground. It was a very beautiful creature, with soft purple wings, but again it didn't look much like herself. Palmer was still confused.

"My name is Edward, and while yes I am a pykiin, I don't look identical to you because I'm a male, and I'm different. One of the differences is I have long fur instead of short fur like you," he said kindly.
He then turned to the Adult who had fallen from the tree and nodded. "Hello."

((I really have to go now. xD)) ((Bringing in Laura, cause she special and...well ebil. >D)) Ebony looked at the male, then she turned her gaze to the kiin. "Yeah, and he is also different because he is a full grown pykiin. Your just a wee little kiin." She sighed and sat down, scratching behind her ear and then looked at the pentacle. "Hm, my pentagram is eerie around you. What type of pykiin are you...umm...Edward?" Ebony raised her mask, and then blinked when a purple kiin came running at full speed at her. She got up quickly and the kiin flew past her, laughing. Laura chuckled and turned around, trotting towards the group. "Hai there!" She chuckled. "Omagod, are you THE Edward?" She gazed at the pykiin. "Are you? Are you? Are YOU?"  |

Edward stared at the small purple ball of fluff, before taking a small step backwards.
"My name is Edward, but I don't know if I'm THE Edward," he replied, smiling at Palmer and hoping the light purple kiin didn't frighten away the first pykiin he'd met in the valley. For some reason he felt protective of her, since she seemed so skittish and shy.

Palmer's face broke into a small grin as the pale purple Pykiin entered the group. Finally someone who looked like her! Even though this one seemed to have two tails instead of just the normal one. Though she seemed very . . . well, energetic. Palmer giggled at the other girl.
She looked up at Edward. "You didn't answer the dark purple one's question," she said. "What kind of Pykiin are you?"

"I am a hunter of the night," Edward replied, answering both Palmer and Ebony. "Also called a vampire. I live by drinking the juice of red berries, and that's all I can eat."
