Palmer looked confused, never having heard of that term before. "That's an odd think," she said, not sounding rude, just thoughtful. "Why do you only drink berry juice? Doesn't it get boring? What happens if you try to eat . . . a grasshopper?" She fastened upon the suggestion as one hopped by her paw. Automatically she reached out and batted it to the ground, then bent her head and snatched it up. The hard thorax crunched in her small teeth as she ate it quickly and swallowed.

He smiled at all the questions.
"I could eat one, but it would provide no nutrients for me, or I might even get very very sick," Edward replied. "So I just prefer to stick with the berries, just in case."

Palmer thought about it for a moment. "In that case, we should search for these berries. I'm new to this Valley, but perhaps they only grow in a certain place." Her tail whisked back and forth. "You'll need to know where to go when you get hungry, right?"

"I can usually sniff them out, but finding them in advance would be helpful as well," He replied.

Palmer smiled. "And we can see more of this Valley as well!" She perked up her ears and looked around. "...which direction should we go in?"

Edward looked around and noticed the clearing he'd been watching before hand.
He could see meadows and streams uphead and could smell others.
"Let's try straight. Maybe we'll run into someone who can show us around?" Edward replied.

Palmer paused, a little nervous about meeting more Pykiin. From what Ryuukokoro had said, there were literally hundreds of Pykiin living in the Valley. That was so many! It was one thing to meet a nice male like Edward, but how could she meet hundreds?
After a moment she decided it would be safe, as long as Edward was with her. "All right, let's go that way then," she said with an affiramative nod, starting to jump through the tall grass toward the clearing ahead.

Edward smiled down at the kiin and followed her, while staying to the shadows as much as he could. He knew he would have to enter the clearing, and another mystery of himself would be revealed.
He steadied himself and stepped into the meadow, hoping he didn't blind anyone which his fur that began to glow from the sunlight.

Palmer stalked through the grass, watching where she placed her paws. She stepped over an ant hill and jumped a fallen branch, half the time her dark eyes darting up and around to look for new Pykiin. She wasn't watching anything behind her, but she could hear the dry grass rustle which meant that Edward was walking behind her.
After she reached the clearing, she paused, but then took a breath and walked forward bravely, keeping in mind that nothing here would hurt her. She stood in the center of the clearing and looked around, but saw no one. Where were all these Pykiin she had heard so much about?
After a moment a thought occurred to her. She realized that ever since she had met Edward, he'd made sure to stay in the shadows thrown by the big trees around the forest. Looking left and right, Palmer realized there were no shadows at all here in the center of the clearing. Would Edward be okay?
She turned around quickly to look for her new friends, and gasped.

He smiled at Palmer.
"Side affect," Edward replied. "It's why I usually try to stay to the shadows. Unlike some stories, the sun won't kill us, but it will reveal to others what we are."

Ebony twitched her ear, smiled and jumped back to her tree. She laid there and watched the two as they tried to make their way out of the forest.
Laura trotted around and flicked her two tails. "Berry Juice." Her voice, sounding like a baby's. "I like Berries!" She said, nodding and a big smile on her face.
((I wanna bring Fera in. XD -drags her out of closet- Hm...))
