They get a rodeli, bonded or not, and use it in a growing event. Non-bondeds can be bought in a sale on the first of the month.
Growing/alteration events are usually held soon after the non-rp hunt.

Sometimes they can be won in events. For example, one of the prizes for the Beauty Contest this time is a custom bonded.

There's a somewhat complicated backstory behind the actual growing process of kiin, too I'll try to condense it as much as possible. Beyond the Valley there's an area called An'ethyst, where other creatures live. These creatures are rodeli, remiels, vhimir, and syora. The pykiin travel to An'ethyst once every month to try and catch some of these creatures. If they're lucky, they can bring the creatures back to the Dryad. When a pykiin (or its guardian) offers a creature to the Dryad, the tree will open a special hollow near its base that the pykiin can enter. Both the pykiin and the creature travel down this tunnel to the center of the Dryad. This is a large, dim cavern lined with veins of magic. The magic glows a gentle green and eventually both the pykiin and the creature will fall asleep so that the Dryad can alter them with magic. The type of creature that is offered will affect the magic that the Dryad uses on the pykiin. While asleep, the pykiin will recieve the magic of the corresponding creature. The creature has a different destiny - if it is a special bonded creature, it will become deeply attached to the pykiin and the two will share a very strong companionship for the rest of their lives. If the creature is not a bonded, the Dryad will mark it with a special curse. This curse puts up magical boundaries that the creature cannot cross. This is to ensure that the creatures stay within the Valley and help restore its ecosystem. (However, the second generation of these creatures will not inherit the curse so that the populations do not overflow.) The creature will then be released into the Valley. This curse also marks the creature so that a pykiin cannot "cheat" by catching a creature already within the valley. Not that they would, of course

I love reading things about the Valley. Sometimes I missed it when I learned about Pykiin myself, and this is a small reminder.
Thank you K13

No problem ^^ I like elaborating on the world I thought up, it's fun You have no idea how much of this came to me while I was in the shower or at 11 pm. My best ideas always pop up then.

That's wonderful For some reason teh Ishmahri world is coming slowly, but some of the ideas I am getting can almost scare you. So far for sure I know they are about the size of a Pea as an adult

Yikes, that's tiny! I'd be afraid to step on them O.O
... I have always wanted little bitty pets, though. x3 I made little shoeboxes full of obstacles for my teeny imaginary friends!

That is how they live undetected in the trees. They are very rarely on the ground.
Well I guess your Teeny, Tiny Nightwish could go through your Obstacles

You do Not create a roleplay. K13 is the only one who may create a roleplay to go to an'ethyst for items. Unless she asks the MOD's to fill in. These are special roleplays to get bondeds and free items.
You may visit An'ethyst just to look around of course.
