I just blew most of my Christmas money ($50) on the Sims 2 game.
And guess what?
It doesn't work on my computer.
Because, apparently, it's for Mac/Universal computers. I've never heard of this Universal thing, and I don't like or have a Mac.
Even worse, I can't return it to Best Buy because I opened the box.
I could of used that money for something better, like adoptables or the account renewals I'll be needing in a couple of months.
*grumbles* I suppose I'll be selling it on Ebay... I just wish that they marked better on the package that it was not for Windows. And I also wished that I examined every square inch of the box before buying.

Maybe it depends on the age of the computer, because it can't work if the computer is older and doesn't have the programs or the memory to store it,or your computer may be to young and doesn't have the right programs because the programs it uses are outdated. That is just a guess considering i am not a genius when it comes to computers. You may also not have the right version of Windows it uses or another thing is that the video card isn't good enough and the graphics are to hard for it.

It may be the memory that is preventing it from working. They can be pretty big games so you need to space and the video card to support it. If you don't they don't work. Sorry to hear about that. I have done that before, then I had to go get all the things I needed for it to run, the $40 game turned into $500 really quick. Hope you don't have to.

It was weird... It didn't even ask me if I wanted to install. It asked me if I wanted to download pictures. o.0 And attempting to run anything on the CD didn't work because it would ask me which program I wanted to use to run it, yet it was the 'incorrect file type' for all of the programs that I could use.
Oh, well. *shrugs* It's probably a combination of all these problems. This computer is rather old, there probably isn't enough memory (though I removed Zoo Tycoon last week, that should of freed up a lot), and I probably have some software messing everything up.
