Baby Question!

I see we have new little kiins over at the Dryad! Yaay! I have a question, do babies show all their markings/mutations when they're born, or do some show up later, as they grow up?

lol. This might make it hard for me to decide which ones I'll be trading, if the markings are secret til later.

Yes: YAYA!!! This is what The Dryad's page says:

When the gemfruits drop from their perches high above the Valley, it isn't long before a hatchling - a newborn kiin - comes tumbling out. If it was created by two pykiin in the Valley, it will need it's parents care and attention until it grows to be a curious, excitable juvenile. Not all hatchlings will show future markings, but they will show future colors, genders, and mutations. Once your kiin hatch, please PM Kitty13 on Ponyisland with a name and owner for each one, and please include their ID numbers. You are free to roleplay your hatchlings, but the name and owner of the kiin will not show up on its cert until it is a juvenile.

So I'm guessing it's just randomized on wether they show them or not. -shruggs- K13 will be able to clarify, I'm sure.

Well, from now on none of the kiin will show markings. I think Sunkit is the only one that showed off his tipped paws, but I forgot about the markings rule and by that time he was all certed so I was lazy and went, "WHUTEVAR". But no, no markings. That's all special-de-scrumptious and secretive, you know If both the parents have markings, though, you can be assured that the little ones will have at least some.
