I know it is possible to rename a pykiin if it is traded, but can pykiin be renamed at other times? Say, when they grow or are altered?

I'd like to know that, too. I have plans for some future 'Kiin of mine.

Well for those who have been over the pykiin owner list looking to trade with non Rper's You might have seen that there is another Hiroshi. Well I asked k13 if I might be able to change Hiroshi's name. she said that it isn't the best idea since with RP them and it might get confusing.

Hmm, good point.
Though for mine, I was planning to change it when they grew up, but I don't think that it would be too confusing of a change since it wouldn't be a huge change. (For example, Mintpaw to Mintleaf, Stonepaw to Stonefur.)

I understand where Saiki's from, as I've read the series. Currently, Pykiin can only be renamed after a trade or in a special occasion, such as Saiki's - from what I understand, the prefix of the name will remain the same, but change as it grows, according to the pattern of the Warriors series that Saiki is modeling her Pykiin after. The end of the name changes from "Kit" to "paw" to another word as they grow, which then is the cat's name for the rest of its life (unless by chance it becomes a leader - then the suffix is "star", but that probably won't happen here). Mostly, I'm allowing Saiki's name changes because I'm so fascinated by the idea But usually the circumstances vary, and I'll decide personally whether a name change is acceptable.

Ok, so basically, if I wanted to change a pykiin's name when it grew, could I pm you beforehand and explain why, and then you could decide if it was ok?

Hee hee, that book series is cool, from what I hear about, things like that. I haven't had a chance to sit down and read it yet, but I will! Young adult fiction is my writing genre. Did you know there's a Warriors manga?! I read it, it looked cute! But I don't think it's official, I think it read kinda like official fanfiction, like it was licensed to be written but not by the original people who wrote the books. That's what it seemed like, but I could be wrong! >_> I'm way off topic here, sorry! *poofs*

Sure thing, Raenia ^^
And I've seen the manga, but I wasn't crazy about it. The art style didn't seem to fit the world that Warriors is set in, really. I read halfway through it, but lost interest - it seems to be more for kids, because the plotline is rather slow and takes some time to actually get anywhere.

To each his own ^^ Mira didn't like the series, either, she thought there was too much killing.

Lots of killing? 0_o Oh dear. Young adult novels are tackling that subject more and more lately.
