It's the Peach Festival this weekend, and I was walking to the pet store from my house (walking cause it's too crazy to try and drive) so i could get Toby food (Toby = 3ft long ball python, who belongs to my roommate...i'm babysitting for the summer) when i spot something scared and hiding in the parking lot beside where they were giving helicopter rides I kneel down and find three little kittens! One solid black, one a golden red tabby, and the other a tortoiseshell. So I walked around town and managed to find an owner for the black one and the tortie, but tabby boy is still with me...I've already gotten kinda attached, but Matilda is more attached than I am....I think it's cause Charles and Esther are in New Orleans getting their shots taken care of I'm probably going to keep him (brings me up to 4 cats) and I feel as if I'm turning into the crazy cat lady...though Keith said I could keep him if I wanted...he'll probably move with Keith when he finds a new place to live, cause otherwise there will be 6 cats in my house ;;; Anyway...I could use some name ideas if anyone has any. We're thinking about Garfield, but I'm not much of a fan of that as Keith is...so any name suggestions would be great. He's a golden red tabby, and his eyes right now are gorgeous! They're a light springy green color with a circle of sky blue around them One of the other names we're thinking of: Kiniro -- Golden -- Japanese

It seems to be the season for little lost kittens.
Good work on finding them homes and rescuing them in the first place.
Garfield Peaches sounds like a good name to me.
Whenever anyone talks about my home they call it "The Zoo" we are currently at 5 dogs 2 cats 7 birds $ of whom are parrots) two fish tanks and a 4000 gallon Koi pond in the back yard.

When all the animals are at home and that'll be this fall when the roommates return, we'll have:
6 cats, 4 bettas, 1 hamster, 2 turtles, 1 ball python, 1 ferret, 1 leopard gecko, 1 dwarf hamster, 3 fishtanks, and there's a salt tank in the works of being created

Yep, it's most definately the season for little lost kittens! Trust me, we had to intake 15 kittens this Saturday... though it was an explosion of cute, it wasn't much fun. They each needed claws clipped, ears cleaned, vet exam, and flea bath before we could even give them to foster homes. And at least six of them had the most absolutely horrible ear mite infestation I've seen in my life - I think we used an entire box of Q-tips on those poor babies ):
Luckily, everyone wants kittens, so that's usually when we get the most adoptions.
Congrats on finding homes for them! And I'm jealous of your little zoo over there. I want a ferret and a snake more than anything, and I'm always trying to get Mom to adopt another kitty when she picks me up from the shelter x3
As for names... we have a red tabby named Frosty at the shelter, so that's the one I thought of immediately (and his brother, McFlurry). He has little bits of white all over, though. Argh, I just wish I could remember some of the hoarder cat names! We four cages with older kittens in them that came from a hoarder's house (the poor things are still in quarintine since they're awfully sick from eating... um, very bad stuff) more than 2 months ago. They're all red tabbies, too, and the only one I can remember is Caesar, because he died from the illness early on.
His eyes remind me of Francine's - she's one of my "rehab kitties" that I spend time holding and calming every time I'm there. She really needs it, she's so skittish, but she's a sweet baby and just needs a little time to warm up to people.
My brain is dead for names, though...
