I'm jealous of the Scotland part, my ancestors were of Scot descent, and I've always wanted to go there.
It might be weird, but being my father's daughter has been a help to a lot of people...you should see my "purse" it's really a messenger bag that's full of first aid stuff with a small compartment for my ID, keys and stuff like that. My friends call me the walking pharmacy, which I don't mind, because I'd rather be over prepared than under prepared.

My Hubby's dad was born in Scotland. My hubby has been everywhere as his mom is a travel agent. He thought it was pretty but way too many fields and hills. (this is his way of telling me to stop complaining) I have been nowhere. His mother on the other hand was born in Englad, so when I say his parents are Scottish adn English I mean it.
I can't wait until the time comes for me to go see one of these places.

does he have a fun accent?
I LOVE all sorts of accents, and except when I slip into my natural southern drawl, I don't usually have one. ((a tribute from all the vocal lessons I've had))

My Father in Law only gets an accept when he spends a week in Britain (where his parents live now) or when he talkjs to them on the phone. My hubby if he talks to his grandarents (even though he has never lived in England) he gets an accent.

I imported my husband from Scotland. So, he has an accent all the time. I get an accent whenever I speak with my relatives in Virginia and when I go stay there it REALLY comes out. It always feels so funny when the drawl begins creeping into my mouth but I love it. I fully expect to get a Scottish accent when I go. ;D

I pick up on accents pretty quick, I went to southern Louisiana with my roommate for Mardi Gras and when I came back, I was speaking like a cajun **laughs** and I'm definitely not cajun

I don't tend to pick up accents. I can't even imitate them. My mom, on the other hand, sounds southern when she gets off the phone with her friend in North Carolina, and sounds Norwegian after talking to her friend in Norway.

I think there's a name for people who pick up accents easily but I'm not sure what it is. We're like human mocking birds.
