Sorka followed the others inside, standing just beside the entrance. She admired again the smooth, waterworn stone, marvelling at the heat that radiated from the floor. In the remaining sunlight, the walls sparkled with flecs of dark mica and smokey quartz.
Sonea bounded inside, skidding to a stop on the smooth floor. "Wow," she commented, drawing the word out long.

Addei was speechless as she steped into the center of the den. She slowly turned and marveled as the beautiful walls that reflected the sun light. The floor was warmer for some strange reason, and from the outside pond, a small fluid sound echoed almost silently around them.
Brandy too was just as speechless as her mother. Her jaw dropped when she saw the walls and how they gleamed with light.

Akiyama stepped into the warm-based den and released an awed breath of air. He was amazed at the cool outer of the den and how warm the inside was. He hesitantly broke the silence. "Sorka, this is a very nice home," he smiled, looking at her praisingly.
Ichigo immediatly collapsed and spread herself out on the warm floor. "Hmm," she sighed, closing her eyes happily as she soaked in the warmth.

"Thank you, both of you. Or I should say, all of you," she added with a smile, including the kiin. "I believe it will serve as a fine home for Sonea and myself. And Kalea, of course," she nodded to the syora who flittered in the doorway. Looking about her, she gave a soft smile. "It feels so good to have a home, at last."

"Yes getting home is a comfort all in its own." Adelina commented as she padded into the center of the den still observing the gleaming walls. She hdn't really thought much of having a cave be a home, to her it wasn't homely, but here made her thoughts on caves disappear. It was so comforting and the motion of the water was soothing.
She looked down at the chain that was still amazingly hanging around her neck, she smiled and thought to herself about what an adventure she had been on. So much had happened within just a few days and she wasn't sure just what to think.

"I'm glad you've gotten a home, Sorka." Akiyama said, smiling at her sincerely. He looked around the den at the walls, and he heard the water, and he couldn't help but to keep his smile. "It's amazingly peaceful," he commented.
Ichigo looked at Brandy, and at Sonea. She went over to Sonea and dragged her toward Brandy, then grinned at her two friends. "Best buddies."

Sonea smiled and let herself be dragged across the smooth stone. "Friends forever," she added, grinning.
"Yes, it is a great comfort. And the peace here is something my life has lacked for as long as I can remember." Her smile turned lonely as she remembered. "It's nice to be surrounded by peace. Perhaps it will rub off."

Adelina hearing Sorka's words, was caught a little off gaurd. For her living in the Valley meant there would be peace, but maybe that was because her life wasn't terribly complicated. "Lacking peace?" She questioned, "What do you mean? If you don't mind me asking." She added. She was worried by Sorka's sudden change of attitude, and wanted to make sure she was alright.
Now she was aware of how harsh weather was outside of the cave, the wind whistled wildly and caused the dry snow to blur over the tiny entrance in a moving white blinding patch. A snow drift.
Adelina's face too changed to one of worry, but not so much for the weather, more for Sorka. 'What could be the matter, I hope she tells. Though no matter if she choses to keep it to herself I'll be there to help ease her mind. But bottleing it up isn't going to help anyone. But if she doen't want to tell she doesn't have to.....' Adelina was starting to look a bit crazy now, and her conversation with herself was endless.
Brandy on the other hand was already partially asleep when Ichigo and Sonea finally reached her side, "Yeah, forever..." She stated as the soft warm stone lulled her into dreamland.

Ichigo giggled a bit, "Haha, Brandy fell asleep." She smiled, looking at Sonea then to Brandy and curled up by Brandy, lying down and snuggling her nose into her paws, feeling relaxed on the soft, warm floor. "C'mon, Sonea," she looked up at her blue friend.
Akiyama listened to Addei's questions and gazed at Sorka, wondering the same. He quickly looked to the exit of the den as he heard the swift winds. "I guess that no one's going anywhere tonight," he frowned just slightly, sitting down and looking back to Addei, then Sorka. He looked back to Addei instantly, seeing her face worried. "Are you both alright?" He asked, looking at the two of them, feeling the mood change rapidly.

Sonea snuggled in with her two friends, the warmth in sharp contrast to the winter outside. "G'night," she murmered sleepily, drifting off.
Sorka glanced at the kiin, and seemed reassured that they were falling asleep. Her next look was to the door, where the wind whistled violently in the storm. "I'll have to do something about that," she murmered to herself. "As to my peace," she sighed. "Life away from the Valley is anything but peaceful, or at least where I came from. I don't have much memory before I met Lakrai and we journeyed here, but it was a harrowing journey. After, well, I was a shy girl, uninclined to put myself forward. That was almost impossible in the crowded Valley. And then Lakrai left me with two kiin to raise." She smiled wryly. "I could get used to this peace. It's a nice change."

Adelina's mask furrowed at the sound of a familiar Pykiin's name, 'Lakrai?' She questioned in his mind. She shrugged her awkward feeling off and patted her tail on the ground, "He did come back didn't he? After he realized what he did? Lakrai I mean?" He question was worded weirdly but she hopped Sorka would understand it.
"I'm sorry to hear such a troubling tale, or at least part of it." She got up from her position and carefully paded to Sorka's side where she wrapped her tail around her friend. "It will be nice for you not to have to worry and to just have peace." She smiled warmly at her friend.
"It does seem as though all three of us have been through dificult times, you two more so than I. I do hope things clear up for all. Including this crummy weather." She sighed just thinking about things that have happened to her in the past, none of it seemd as stressful as the things Sorka and Akiyamam had gone through.

Akiyama listened silently to Sorka had been through. He smiled, and stepped forward, giving her a hug. He did feel bad for her, and he felt like he sort of knew what it was like - except that he and Yume were still talking. Akiyama said nothing, and tried not to show his emotions much. He felt like it wouldn't really help much - his pity. He embraced her tightly, feeling like hugs always helped - which they did, for him, anyway. He let go of her after a few seconds and smiled again, "I'll help with the door, if you want."
He turned his head to Addei and chuckled just slightly, "We've all been through tough times. No matter how rough they were, they're parts of life, unfortunetly. But at least it gives a challenge, I guess. How we get through them makes us who we are." He hoped that that had come out right - he meant it to mean one thing, but he hoped he hadn't phrased it as another.
((And after nearly a month... Panda strikes again! xD I'm sorry I haven't replied in so long. xP))

Sorka returned Akiyama's hug with a grateful smile. Turning to Addei, she answered, "He did return, and he wants to be in Sonea's life, but we'll never be entirely comfortable with each other again. We'll certaintly never be together again like we were."
"It's probably for the better," she added after a moment. "As you say, I wouldn't be who I am now if it hadn't happened." She nodded her thanks to both of them. "And I'd love some help with the door."

Adelina smirked, “So he did keep his promise.” She smiled to herself before she looked to the door. Just the sight of the outside made her shiver in her fur, and though she was perfectly warm she couldn’t help, but feel a sense of bitter cold as she looked out. She shook her head in agreement, “Yes, I’m sure a lot could be done to help that situation. Maybe a moss blanket or some sort of covering would help shield us inside.”
She paused her thoughts for a moment as she looked up at Akiyama, “Indeed, if not for our troubles, we perhaps would not be here sharing this moment.” She smiled, “We might have never even met each other. And where would I be now without you two?” She shifted her weight and gave a soundless chuckle.

((If we want to move to the other thread, that's fine-and-dandy, but we can keep this one open if you guys want to, also. I have no preference. ) "He's not ignoring you," Akiyama muttured. "He still realizes that you and Sonea are here." He raised his voice to the normal level. "So speaking of 'here', are you going to show him your new den?" He glanced at Addei and spoke, "The moss would freeze or dry due to the cold air and lack of moisture, though..." he frowned, thinking of something that might work. "Unless we were to make the moss very thickly packed?" His frown turned to a smile, "I don't know where any of us would be right now if not for meeting," he shrugged and laughed.
