((Anyone may join. I'm getting the major part of the RP out of the way in the beginning. )
Yume awoke in the morning to find a chill entering the den. She was used to it, since the den was right behind a rushing waterfall. It was colder this morning, though. Winter must have arrived. Too bad it was going to be a colder, lonelier winter than normal.
She walked outside the den, leaving Kiriya alone to sleep in his bed underneath the woven covers. Yume walked to the pond and watched her gloomy reflection wave in the water.
Akiyama walked into the clearing and stopped when he saw Yume. He looked at the ground, feeling rather awkward. He swallowed and looked up, walking slowly toward Yume. He reached her and nodded, "Good morning. How are you?"
Yume looked at Akiyama, a horrid feeling arising in her. "I'm okay, I guess." She knew he just wanted to end it quickly, like her, since they both knew that it was no coincidence they were both here this morning. But it was such a bad feeling to even think about it. Yume bit her lip and looked at Akiyama's reflection in the water. "Akiyama... I don't think it's going to work," she murmured honestly.
The brown male nodded. "I know, and I'm sorry." Akiyama felt it was his fault.
"No, I'm sorry." Yume said firmly, in her motherly voice. Her tone became soft, nearly a whisper. "What about Ichigo and Kiriya?"
"We give them the choice," Akiyama replied, closing his eyes to think, almost as though he was beginning to get a headache.
Yume's gaze shifted to her own reflection in the water. "They'll be heartbroken."
"What else do we do? I will not let them live on their own yet," Akiyama raised his voice.
"Understood." Yume agreed. She closed her eyes just as Akiyama opened his own. She murmured, almost as though she were talking to herself. "They will have to choose, though. I won't make them go with me, or you, but they will have to go with someone."
Akiyama nodded, standing up. He nuzzled Yume for the last time. "I'll miss you," he said, then began to walk away.
Yume stood up, her heart dropping - he was just going to leave...? Like that? "We're still friends, aren't we?" She asked, taking a small step toward him.
He stopped, then smiled back to Yume, doing his best to return to his normal self as quickly as possible. Of course, that would take time, but he hoped it would be quick. "Of course we are!" He laughed. "And we'll have to still see each other - because of Kiriya and Ichigo."
Nodding, Yume sighed, a little relieved. "I'll miss you, too. I'll talk to Kiriya." She gave him another smile and a nod before turning around and looking back at her reflection.
Akiyama smiled and walked toward his den, then when he was out of sight, he began heading toward Mayonaka's Meadow. He stopped on the outside of the Meadow, right in front of the barrier of trees. He sat down and tears came to his eyes, eventually overflowing. He wept silently, wishing that he would get over this quickly.

Yume, on the other hand, continued to look at her reflection and she was a little bit relieved. Akiyama seemed to take it rather well. She was saddened that she and Akiyama had parted ways, and she wondered if they would ever be able to be true friends again. She wanted to look at the water a little longer, though, to think things threw and ponder whether or not she'd made the right choice.
