Tuwawi giggled with delight when Masashi poked her nose into the blue paint and left a print of it on the side of the tree next to his. He then smiled and stepped back to gaze at the two little smuges . "I like painting," he concluded, poking his paw into the red paint sitting beside him. Stepping back up to the tree, he placed his messy paw to the side and drew a circle around the prints of the kiin's noses. Turning to smile at Masashi, he suddenly burst into laughter. "You look good in blue," he grinned, motioning to the blue paint dripping down her face.

Vixen smiled up at Kovu. "So am I," she replied, nuzzling him as well. "I'm glad we didn't pick pounces who were enemies," she chuckled jokingly, although with a hint of seriousness in her voice.

Ember's leg moved furiously in his sleep, as if he were chasing something.

"Paint is fun!" Masashi agreed, giggling. She smiled and blushed furiously, trying to rub off the blue paint with her paw, only smearing it more so up her face. She put her paw down and laughed, "Th-thanks."

Kovu smiled, too. "Yes, that wouldn't have been good, now, would it?" He asked rhtorically. He smiled, seeing the two kiin far off painting on the tree, being kiin. "They really are good friends," he smiled, humming to himself.

"Mm-hmm!" Tuwawi replied with a grin, using a paw to smear the paint across his face too. He giggled and dried off his tye-dye colored paws on the ground, muttering an "eww," when the paint wouldn't come off all the way. "What should we paint next?" he wondered aloud.

Vixen smiled at his first comment and glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. She then gazed off at the two kiin again. "..I wonder if Ember and Ray were right." she murmured, enjoying Kovu's humming.

Masashi grinned, snickering as he smeared paint over his face. "Oooone second," she trailed, running off. She came back dragging the rest of the paints behind her. "Okay!" She nodded, looking the blank spots on the tree. She splashed her paw into the brown paints, which were the most messy of all them. She smacked the color against the tree in a line, then went back for the green with her tail. She made a tree. The Dryad.

Next, she dipped one of the pads of her other front paw into the black, and another into the blue. She dabbed one spot of each color by the giant tree. "There!" She gasped. "Witness my awesome painting power!" She laughed at herself and her sloppy painting job.

"Knowing them, they're either goofing off or being lazy," Kovu chuckled. "But I wonder where they are...."

Yooso spoke up quietly, "They're over there, sleeping." She motioned to a nearby bush where they were sleeping in front of. Yooso sat down. "It is getting sort of late, isn't it?"

Tuwawi grinned brightly. "Wow! It's the Dryad! And us! Right?" he asked, hoping that he had guessed right. Before recieving an answer, he dipped a paw into the yellow paint and plopped a circle of it above Masashi's painting. "Now it's daytime," he stated, grinning at his sun.

"Hm?" Vixen murmured, looking slightly confused as she glanced up at Kovu. She then smiled, saying, "Oh, I didn't mean that, but now that you mention it..." She paused and looked around for a moment until she heard Yooso speak. Turning to look where she pointed, Vixen smirked slightly, seeing her snoring bonded stretched out across the ground.
She then turned and looked up at the sky. "Ah, yes, it is. I hardly even noticed."

"Yep!" Masashi grinned. "That's us." She tapped his ear with her paw playfully. Her fur turned red and she giggled, her face apologetic. "Sorry... I turned your ear blue!" She gasped, looking at the bright yellow color. "Yay! We needed the sun. I wonder where they got the paint? It looks like they stole the color from the sun!" She gasped, letting her imagination take over.

"Oh!" Kovu laughed, realizing what Vixen had meant. He'd though (I'd misread) that she'd said she wondered if they were alright. "Well," he answered, "they might be. They're kiin, though. I doubt that they'd tell any of us if they liked each other that way," Kovu shrugged, smiling.

He looked up at the sky along with Vixen. "I suppose it is nearly night."

Tuwawi grinned. "You don't have to say sorry... I like it!" he laughed, flicking his blue ear back and forth as he turned to look at the yellow spot on the tree again. "Yeah..." he said thoughtfully in reply to what Masashi had said. "It looks just like it! See--" Tuwawi turned to look up at the real sun, but stopped suddenly when he realised how dark it was getting. "...The sun is going to bed," he sighed dissapointedly.

"Probably not," Vixen said, smiling back at him as she nodded her head in agreement. A thoughtfull look was in her eye as she gazed back up into the sky. "Beautiful sunset," she commented with a smile, resting her head on Kovu's shoulder.

Masashi giggled, then looked at the sun with him. "Aww..." she pouted, her face showing disappointment. "Why does the sun have to go away?" She asked, a little irritated. "And we were having fun, too."


Kovu smiled at Vixen, sitting down then looking up at the sun just above the trees. "It is," he murmured. "The sun reflects on the clouds so wonderfully."

"I wish it would stay.." Tuwawi said, looking up at the sky. "But, the moon has to have it's turn to come out and play," he continued with a silly grin. He then plopped his paw into the blue again, and made a little circle next to the yellow one on the tree. "It's not really the right color, but now the moon can be in the picture too!"

Vixen smiled and sat down as well, her eyes focused upon the changing sky. "It makes all sorts of pretty colors."

Ember snored softly and rolled over in his sleep, a paw flying into Ray's face.

"Cool! It's like... uh... well, it's a mystical picture," Masashi declared, grinning. "Well, the moon can still play, and so can we!" She began bouncing up and down energetically.

"Beautiful colors," Kovu added, wrapping his tail around Vixen. "The best part of the day. It really makes you think."

Ray twitched his nose, opening his eyes to see Ember's paw. "Get," he moaned, raising his tail and flopping it into the Remiel's face.

Tuwawi grinned and nodded his head, looking back at their picture for a moment. "Have you ever seen the moon in the sky at the same time the sun is?" he asked Masashi, tilting his head to the side curiously.

"Yes," Vixen agreed, smiling thoughtfully. "It makes you think about the many sunsets and sunrises that have already happened... days that have past... and days that will come in the future,"

"Ah!" Ember squeaked, jumping up when the feathers hit his face. He blushed slightly, realizing what a girlish squeal he had made, and scooted over a foot or two. "Sorry.." he grumbled, curling back up into a ball.

"Um... no," Masashi frowned a bit, looking from the picture, to Tuwawi, to the sun. "Have you? I've never heard of the sun and moon being in the sky together at the same time. I thought they'd get into a fight, so they aren't allowed," she theorized.

Kovu nuzzled Vixen affectionately. "The days that will come with you," he added, smiling.

Ray snickered and grinned, finding both the scream and that he'd awoken Ember humorous. "Sorry," he apologized, only to be polite.

Tuwawi smiled and nodded his head, his antenae bobbing up and down. " Yeah, I don't think they like each other very much, so they stay far away from each other... I haven't seen it, but I heard someone say that on days when there's no clouds in the sky, you can sometimes see the moon, at the same time as the sun!"

"And all the days that will come with you," Vixen replied with a smile, nuzzling Kovu as well.

Ember stuck his nose up in the air with as much dignity as he could. "That's alright," he replied bluntly. "It was an accident I'm sure." He snickered slightly at the word and cleared his throat to hide it.

Masashi giggled, "Well, that'd make sense." She thought for a minute, and asked, "Have you ever heard of a 'red moon'?" She looked up at the moon, which was coming in the east. It seemed white enough - maybe with a hint of yellowish-orange, but not red. She wondered it the 'red moon' rumor was true.

Kovu chuckled, "Then I guess it's a two-way thought." He smiled and kept his tail around Vixen. "It's a bit chilly tonight," he commented.

Ray picked up his head and glared at Ember. He growled (as much as a bird can growl) and fluttered up off the ground, dropping himself on Ember. "Now that, you little horn-head, was on purpose," he said, grinning at his name calling.

"A red moon?" Tuwawi asked, tilting his head to the side in deep thought. "Nope, I don't think so," he replied, gazing up at the sky.
"Have you seen one?" he went on to ask. "Can the moon really be red? ...Maybe it just gets mad sometimes." Tuwawi grinned, and giggled, looking back down at Masashi.

"Yes, it is a little bit chilly.." Vixen agreed, closeing her eyes as a gentle breeze blew by them. "At least I have you here," she smiled, nuzzling him slightly.

Although, the moment was soon ruined by a loud, surprised squeal from Ember.

"...Horn-head?? Get offa' me you big... uh... bird-head!" the little remiel moaned, scrambling to get up and get away from Ray.
