((For the sake of keeping things simple, please only join if you have a pykiin who would like to be soulmated to Tinaeus, and let him come to your pykiin, so there aren't all kinds of females he has to address at once. Simply introduce your pykiin and have her in the general area, I'll make sure that he talks to each female who joins within the first two days of roleplay. ))
Tinaeus stood rooted to the spot, his legs weak. Never before had his worries about being without a soulmate tried his spirit so much... He was a leader, and wanted to do the best he could to serve the Valley, but he also considered himself a gentleman and had no idea how to come across as caring when all he could think about was the daunting task ahead. Was it possible to fall in love so quickly? Or would he have to forfeit the chance of ever loving someone completely in order to take care of his duties? Even worse to contemplate was the fate of the pykiin whom he might soulmate without knowing completely, without being sure of his fate with... whoever she was, she would be risking as much as he would be.
Before he could fray his nerves to the point of permanent damage, he felt his bonded alight on his shoulder and steady herself. "I spoke with Tree-speaker for you, and... you have a week." Venus's voice was heavy, as though she understood his every fear just by looking at him. "On the bright side, it's more than a day..."
Tinaeus felt a sound like a desperate moan struggling to free itself from him, but he suppressed it and straightened himself. His face set with a look of determination that blocked his emotions from view, and he took a deep breath to steady his voice. "What must be done must be done..." Paws heavy like lead, the leader stepped away from the Dryad, prepared not to face her again until he had done what must be done.

Spice had heard from Angie that there was a sort of Festival going on. She wanted to join in on the fun. Plus she really needed to get out of the Pounce Den. She knew that she was grown and probably should find her own den here soon but she couldn't bring herself to leave Parade or to bring her daughter away from all the 'Kiin of the Pounce. If it was up to her she'd have a Den right next to the Dryad. She chuckled at the thought. She reached the Dryad at the same time as she chuckled. She could feel the magic of the grandiose tree radiating from the tree. She couldn't help but be taken aback but she loved it. She decided to be as close to the Dryad as she could. She plopped herself right at the foot of the Dryad and stared up at her. The power inside of one thing amazed her.

Kiala walked hesitantly up to the Dryad, her delicate ears laying against her soft neck. Today was the first time she had walked up to the Dryad for no reason, and she wasnt sure why it was making her so nervous. What if the Dryad didnt like her? She shook her head back and forth, smiling a bit at how nuts she was for thinking that. Didn't the Dryad like everyone?
She sighed softly and slowed down from her trotting pace to a easy going walk. When she reached the ancient tree, she placed both, rather small, paws on the thick wood at the base of her trunk.
"Why hello, Dryad. Or is it Mrs. Dryad?" She chuckled quietly and ran her wet nose across the rough bark. "I can feel the power running through you, Old Wise One. I'm sorry I haven't visited you before this."

Sugar stepped hesitantly towards the Dryad. She could already see a couple of other girls around the great tree and wondered where Tinaeus was. It had been ages since she had seen him, and even longer since they were all kiin and playing. How long ago that seemed, but how glad she was the time had passed as the valley had filled with more and more pykiin. Her pounce had definitely grown as well and while she had been happy to see it grow and she loved her family dearly, she still hadn't found that perfect him.
She knew that Tinaeus was having troubles deciding and was hoping that she could discuss it with someone who might possibly understand.
She finally got close enough that she noticed him over to the side. He didn't look ready to talk just yet so she nestled into the grass and pulled her supplies out of her pouch. She placed the small ball of cotton yarn to the side and pulled the specialized needles onto her paws. She began to humm as she went into her day dreams and began work on her knitting, after all there were several more kiin in the valley and if she didn't get a head start there was no way to make enough blankets for all by the time winter came again.

Venus was still trying to calm Tinaeus as he stepped away from the great tree, her words flowing past his ears in a constant stream. He didn't catch and ponder any of the sounds, though, didn't care enough to try to put them together to create something cohesive.
Out of the corner of his eye, a brown blur caught his attention. He kept his face turned away from the Dryad, but the familiar figure was headed straight towards it... suddenly, Venus dropped into his view, wings pounding air into his face. "Tinaeus! Come on, snap out of it, I can't have a zombie for a partner." She sounded cross, but her voice held an ounce of empathy that Tinaeus understood and held on to.
"Sorry, Venus, what were you saying...?"
"Well, there are plenty of girls around the Dryad- oh, don't look so guilt-stricken, furball, she's only shunning you to do what's best for you and the rest of the valley."
"Best for me? I thought this was about sticking to the rule..."
"Contrary to what you believe, the Dryad does have everyone's best interests in mind, the rules aren't there for no reason. Now turn around and start your search at the heart of the Valley."
Reluctantly, Tinaeus turned. His eyes scanned the area for the figure he had seen out of the corner of his eye before, and nearly missed her since her pelt blended in with the Dryad's trunk. He blinked once, disbelieving, and looked closer - yes, it was who he thought it was, a kiin who had been in the Valley since the beginning, but who had finally become an adult.
"Hello, Spice," he started somewhat awkwardly as he padded up to her. He couldn't help but notice that she was quite attractive as an adult, but kept in mind that looks were not as important as heart. He calmed down and let a teasing tone colour his voice. "What finally convinced you to grow up?"

((Apparently I was mistaken. Isa has informed me that she should be here.))
Isalair sought the Dryad without conscious thought. She had needed to get out of Seri's den, and away from the sister to whom she was ever bound. Rala was an adult now, why did she feel the need to be closer than ever to her twin? It was the nature of adults to grow apart. Isa understood this, but she could not impart the knowledge to her twin. Instead, she sought solitude.
Or, she had thought she was seeking solitude. Thoughts of her sister faded when she reached the Dryad and realized that, of course, this had been her destination. She did not yet know why, but that knowledge was sure to follow. A brief greeting to the great tree stilled her mind further, and she withdrew to a small distance to sit, straight and comfortable in a body that should have felt new. Letting her eyelids fall lightly closed, she took smooth breaths and waited for the reason she was here to come to her.

Spice was suprised when Tinaeus padded up to her. She hadn't been expecting him to talk to her. She hadn't talked to him in what had seemed like forever. She understood though. Being not only a leader of the Valley but also the first Pykiin he had to have a lot on his plate. She remembered that the Dryad always asked things of Tinaeus that she couldn't ask of another Pykiin and she could understand why he didn't get out as much as others.
"Why hello Tinaeus." She said with a sheepish smile playing on her face. She giggled a little at Tinaeus' sudden tone. "I don't really know why we decided to grow." She tried to explain. "Parade and I just one day felt the pull. I guess it was just our time. The Dryad works in mysterious ways and I will never be able to fully understand."

Tinaeus nodded understandingly, tilting his head to look up through the branches of the great tree. "That she does..." He glanced sidelong at Spice and blinked, a thought occurring to him. "Spice... in all your days in the Valley, have you ever been frightened? Not just scared for no reason, but have you ever had a reason to fear anything?"

Spice didnt quite understand where Tinaeus' question was coming from but she thought that answering with a completely true answer was probably best. "Truthfully, Tinaeus I have never been fearful. I have heard from my pounce members about true fear, but I have always felt that the Valley was a safe place. I feel that being here in the Valley with you and the rest of the first four and, of course, the Dryad has always made me feel...like I had no reason to fear anything." She turned thoughtful for a moment before asking, "Is there a reason for your question? Are you scared Tinaeus?" She didn't like asking the question. Was there a reason for him to be scared? Should the rest of the Valley in turn also be scared?

"There has never been a reason for us to be afraid here, has there?" Tinaeus asked calmly, his eyes holding the faintest remnant of a smile. A fear is coming... most of these pykiin know nothing of fear. That's my purpose now- to keep them from ever knowing that fear.
He grinned at Spice softly, his eyes twinkling ever so slightly. "I'm Tinaeus- I may be a terrible worrywart, but no, I'm not scared. Thank you for talking to me, Spice. I hate leaving early, but a leader's job is never finished." He nodded to her politely, then turned and trotted off.
"I'm proud of you, Tinaeus, starting to take a positive look at this situation. It's far from over, though," Venus said, poking her nose out from the strands of Tinaeus's mane. "Hang in there, big guy."
"I will, promise." He blinked and noticed a new female nearby, with a tan pelt and vibrant orange mane, one who he was sure he'd seen but hadn't met before. Padding up to her, he blinked accommodatingly and bowed. "Hello, miss. I'm Tinaeus, as you might already know, but I can't say I've met you before."

Kiala smiled slightly, her ears slightly back. "Oh, hello. I'm Kiala." She said softly, attempting not to be her normal shy self. "I have heard of you before, but I dont think I have ever seen you around the Valley." She looked him up and down, taking his appearence into memory so she wouldnt forget. She tended to forget things, which was one of her faults.
"It is nice to meet you though, I dont usually get out to meet new people.." She said awkwardly.
(Think of her as kinda scatterbrained like Luna Lovegood, or however you spell it. From Harry Potter.)

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kiala," Tinaeus said, smiling warmly. "It's okay, I understand how it is, not being able to see others often. I'm usually quite busy training, but I like knowing who everyone in the Valley is, so I try to train out where I can be seen and approached."
His voice held calmly, but underneath his words, his mind had slipped out of the surety it had attained after he'd spoken with Spice. Something about Kiala's somewhat reserved manner had reminded him that he was not only dealing with the immediate fate of the Valley, but also of the long-term fate of an individual. He couldn't possibly sacrifice one for the other...

(( XD Really Late. Haha!))
There was something enthralling about the Dryad to Adelina. She was always keen on visiting at least once a day, but now that her new home placed her further away it became a ‘when I can get out’ type of thing. She’d been so busy raising her grandson and now Teuthida that she never seemed to have time to herself. Even though it was never really just time to herself, Talim was always close by, but she knew how to keep her distance.
Addei closed her eyes gently as she arrived under the shade of the Dryad’s vast branches. Taking slow, calm, even breaths she planted herself taking in all the familiar scents. The soft breeze tumbled her hair slightly. She sat in almost silence, but the rustling leaves were soothing, much like water was for the water elementals. Her passion for the earth was as deep as its crust, she loved the feeling of soft soil between her toes, or tangled grass beneath her foot.
Without realizing it Adelina began to twirl the flower that sat beside her. She only stopped when she felt her bonded slither against her hip. “Oh.” She stated quietly opening her eyes quickly as a sheepish smile crossed her lips. She glanced around to see if anyone had seen her, thankfully there weren’t too many other Pykiin here. Just Spice, Sugar, a few others she didn’t have names for, and Tinaeus. Tinaeus?! Of course he would be here. He was one of the four leaders.
She took another slow breath. Oh goodness what’s wrong with me? He’s just another male. She shook her head. I’m being silly. Her tail flopped onto the ground with a thud and she looked to the green lush grass that surrounded her paws and smiled.

Kiala watched him, a quizzical (sp?) look on her kind face. She could tell there were alot of things going on in his head. "Your a thinker." She declared suddenly, her head tilted slightly. She always characterized people when she met them, and she immediately knew that Tinaeus was a major thinker. Realizing that she might have sounded rude, she stepped back slightly. "Oh, I'm sorry, sometimes whats in my head just... comes out. I always guess what people are when I first meet them, and my guess for you is "Thinker". You seem like you might always have a ton of stuff on your mind."
Frowning slightly, she pawed at the ground, drawing little swirly designs in the dirt with a claw.

((Now that Ryuu has internet in home and can rp reliably, may one of my Pykiin enter the RP? Or is it too late to be introing someone? I understand if so. ))
