((Well I only get online about once a week, but seeing the new babies in the PI thread and PM opening alteration slots, got me back into the Pykiin mood! So if anyone else wants to rp but doesn't mind a long pause between responses... You are welcome to join me here! ^_^;; ))
The summer sky was a patchwork of blue and white this day, as puffy clouds chased each other swiftly in the wind. The sun would shine brightly if not for the occassional shade falling as a cloud momentarily passed in front of it, only to move off again and bring the sunlight back.
The wind was blowing down in the Valley as well, making the tall grasses ripple like an ocean tide and the boughs of the Dryad sway and make the rustling music of leaf movement.
Hidden in the tall grass around the Dryad's trunk, a dark green shape moved cautiously. Other than the occassional flash of red or yellow, it was almost impossible to see anything there at all. Finally a dark green head poked up out of the grass, revealing a young female Pykiin. She regarded the Dryad suspiciously, her black eyes set in her yellow mask narrowed in an expression of mistrust.
After looking around the area, scanning for any obvious signs of others a little too close, she decided it was safe and crawled out of the grass, revealing a deep green pelt with red and yellow tipped paws and two yellow tails following behind her. She calmly sat down on one of the great tree roots of the Dryad and looked up. Her tails curled around her paws and she hunched her shoulders as if to protect her vulnerable neck.
"Okay," she muttered up at the vast tree, "I came. I heard you. What do you want?"

((Yay! For slow. Cammeh has hit some... Well he's a boy. XD Wants to RP but haseth no times. Yay for slow!))
A prominent pink figure danced gracefully towards the Dryad with her black companion fastened to her back. Her dainty paws almost skimming the grass as she half hovered in the air.
"I can't wait until I can fly." The Black 'Kiin muttered.
There were a few reasons the wildly marked female made the journey to the Dryad. For one she wanted to see her friend, or was he more than that? She shook her head frivolously. No. He was something to be determined later. Secondly she had an inckling that her friend and almost sister Blaque needed a visit to the magic tree. And thirdly. Cheyenne had a funny gut feeling that there was somthing or somethings here for her.
Either way she carried her little friend on her back. Her tail swishing back and forth playfully.
When they reached the draping branches of the Dryad Blaque heaved herself off and circled a small area before planting herself.
Cheyenne gazed into the vast branches with no intent of finding anything. Neither of them noticed the green female not far from either of them.

Pineberry was deeply unsatisfied by the Dryad's lack of answer, though she knew the ancient tree didn't speak. She had expected something, though. Surely there was some sign that would indicate what to do next? She gazed up at the wavering branches that swayed in the wind, wondering if they were how the Dryad communicated. If so, it was a language she did not understand.
The arrival of newcomers instantly set off warning bells in the young kiin's head. She was, unlike many Pykiin in the Valley, very antisocial and had only met one or two other inhabitants of this place since her arrival. She wasn't aware of any family or Pounce that she belonged to. As far as she knew, she had always been alone. And liked it that way. Silently Pineberry crouched low in the grass, allowing the swaying stalks to close over her head.
The adult was completely covered in pink and rainbow and various markings, standing out strongly against the green of the grass. On her back, almost lost among her flowing mane, was a small black kiin the same size as Pineberry. They didn't appear outwardly hostile, but Pineberry didn't trust outward appearances. She edged away from the two interlopers without taking her eyes from them, a warning growl emerging from her throat even though she tried to keep quiet.

Cheyenne looked over the grass where Blaque had positioned herself. "Well what now?" She asked. Though she had grown part of her was still naive. Gently she fluttered her wings and plopped her haunches on the ground and returned to searching the branches of the Dryad. Maybe she had more siblings? Or a new friend was going to pop out. Things like that always happened when she visited.
"We wait. I guess." Blaque stated nonchalantly as she rolled her eyes and turned away from Cheyenne. She still couldn't understand why the Dryad had chosen to grow her. Chey was still pretty much a huge 'Kiin.
Blaque scanned the grass her keen vision locking in on a darker 'Kiin. She was Blaque's size and couldn't have been too dangerous, but judging from the way she was trying to hide herself, she probably didn't want any friends. So Blaque turned away swishing her tail as she got up and looked at Cheyenne.
Up in the branches a figured nimbly pranced from one branch to another. His massive tail smacking the branch and causing it to rustle. A new face perhaps? He was defenatly not from the Valley and was a bit annoyed at this new place. Having woken up in the hollow of the Dryad left him with many questions.
He casually dodged under a few gemfruit one a lightish brown the other a vibrant pink.
Chey had seemed to gone off into a daze. She wasn't truely paying attention and nearly startled Blaque to death when she shreiked. "OH MY!" It was loud and obnoxious sounding.
Blaque shot her a look, but didn't ask.

Pineberry was about to retreat and come back to the Dryad another time. No matter what the insistant old tree wanted, it wasn't worth taking the chance of revealing herself to these strangers. The bothersome old thing would just have to wait.
Suddenly the pink one let out a loud yelp, and Pineberry shot out of the tall grass in shock. She plopped down in full view of the two female Pykiin and sat there for a moment, dazed. Then she shook her head and glared at them. "What was that for!?" she snapped at the pink Pykiin.

Cheyenne jumped at the sudden voice that shot out of the grass. She crinkled her nose and squinted to make sher it wasn't the grass that appeared to be talking. She laughed to herself then realized that it was another young 'Kiin. "Oh uh... hmmm." Cheyenne stated, "I just uh saw something up there." She gestured towards the spot she had seen the figure and the two gemfruit but the figure was gone.
Blaque cocked a brow and looked to where she pointed. She then began to cackle madly, "Oh haha!... Looks like you have yourself a pair! Hahahaha!"

Pineberry looked up, following the black kiin's gaze. She then looked suspiciously at Cheyenne. "Those gemfruit are yours?" she asked. Blinking quickly, she hastened to add, "Not that I care!"
The little green kiin got to her feet, tails twitching. "Did the tree bring you here to see them?" she demanded sharply. She wanted to know if she was the only one who seemed to hear things from the Dryad. "It calls to me too," she muttered, almost to herself, "but I'm not old enough to have gemfruit... I don't know what it wants."

Though being made fun of Cheyenne didn't frown. She didn't remember ever having 'Kiin. And by the looks of them they certainly didn't appear to be anyone's but her's. She shrugged slightly. "Dryad must have brought me to see them. As to why Blaque tagged along I'll never know." Her intent gaze didn't stir from the two gems as she spoke. "The Dryad means well, but there are a lot of different reasons as to why she could be calling you."
Blaque humphed, "Truthfully I've been having this gut feeling that I need to be here too. But I'm guessing it wasn't because of her gemfruit." Blaque smirked at the thought of Cheyenne being a mother. It was all too funny to her.
The breeze gusted sending the branches of the Dryad whirling and knocking the two fruit together. Then the gust twirled and pushed Blaque from her spot towards the Dryad.
"What?" Blaque stated amazed as she stood up and looked back at the place she had been just seconds ago. She then turned to the Dryad, surely enough there was a small patiently growing hollow. It looked dark and eerie, but it called to the black 'Kiin. Blaque took a few paces nearing herself to the hold before looking back at the two she left and slinking into the large tree.

Pineberry's black eyes snapped open in shock as the little black kiin stepped into the Dryad. The wood seemed to flow and ripple like water and covered the hole, until they were looking at a smooth trunk.
"I-it ate her!" the little green kiin gasped shrilly, backing away from the tree. "What are we going to do!?"
