Yesterday night I just went and saw Twilight in movie form. The director did a poor job for taking in New people who have never read the books. The movie seemed not even comparable to the books. It's like the books are 2-4 levels above the movie.
To add on they had so many scenes out of sequence, and not in the right places. Despite these things I did have to admit. The humor that was added in was absolutely priceless. xD "Nice kitty." xDDD I also loved the scene where Carlisle was introduced. O.M.G. Everyone in the theater was in hysterics, just laughing. (When all it was was him walking. XD)
In other words, the movie was enough to satisfy fans but not enough to get people interested in reading the books.
PS: I loved how Jasper looked like a Prairie dog the whole time and how he only had two lines.

Personally I have read and reread all the books and I saw the movie last night, and I think the movie was enough to entertain those who have not read the books and keep their interest, it also helped put the characters together. Having the books to help me let me know what was missing but what movie based on a book is ever exact? And for us who have read the book we can fill int he blanks with our imaginations right?
I have watched and read the Golden Compass and let me tell you, not exact and the movie is almost disappointing. Although when you see the movie with no book knowledge that is what you need, (in this case I watched the movie before reading the book)
So the Movie Twilight was great. I am looking forward to owning it and watching New Moon in 2010.
Not to mention Emmet and Carlisle = yummy!

While it is true the movies usually aren't as a good as the books, I still think they could put in a little more effort to make it correct perhaps.

I went to watch it with two people who did not rad the books and they understood the entire story by watching the movie. They got that Edward was different, they understood Rosalie, they got the standoffish behaviour, and they saw the story unfold. It was neat to hear what they thought and thern let them know what I knew from the books, it was pretty close.
Although I do wish she had escaped from Alice and Jasper from an airport instead of the hotel that would have been nicer.
But how long should they have made the movie to get it exact? the movie was already over 2 hours. I think if they had have added much more then it would have lost a lot, since people would have gotten a bit bored.
They kept most things in order and kept the characters to what we knew, what more can you ask for really?

-shrugg- I actually thought the movie was pretty good. While a bunch of the scenes and things were in a different order then the books, that was anticipated by me. :/ Some of the lines were pretty funny though. I met my friend at the theater(turns out we got tickets for the same day and time without planing it!) and we were giggling a lot. xD Mostly because we were excited that we already had an idea of what was going to happen. "I just told you that I can read minds, and you think theres something wrong with you?" And the way Edward was looking at Bella in all those scenes at school... XD Also, I think the baseball scene was great. xD I love how Jasper was twirling around the baseball bat all the time.... eeee. :3 <3 But gosh darnit I can't believe they only gave him two lines. -hurmfs- >:[ Mm, I read the book before I saw the movie, and I was really quite dissapointed when I walked out of that theater. Now that I look back, I guess it actually was pretty good... and I still hope that they make the rest of the trilogy. Which I also hope for Twilight! I can't wait to see what they do with New Moon. And Eclipse.... eee fight scenes!

Yeah the scenes where he looks like she smells horrible and has stepped on his toe was great, my hubby and friend thought it was great. They also liked how Jasper always looked like he was straining to find a thought as they thought it looked like.
Although I love where Rosalie breaks the salad dish, just shows her personality so well.

Gee Rosalie looked like she was going to rip Bella's head off. O.o;; Especially when Bella called her out. x33
And Emmet just looked so happy and friendly when he waved that huge butcher's knife around in the kitchen, lol. XD;;;
Jasper looked like he was hardly breathing in half of the scenes. And I doubt he was. O.o;; But I still love how everything kinda froze when he hit the ball. :DD <3333 Jasper's my favorite vampire-dude, mmhm. Him and Garett. Even though Garett wasn't really the main focus of anything... I still liked him. :3
