Cross posted to PI, because I know that there are quite a few people who aren't visiting on a daily basis anymore...
My dearest friends,
As I'm sure many of you know, I'm a really busy teenager. Technically, according to my current to-do list, I shouldn't have any free time whatsoever. And it just loves to keep getting longer, that silly thing...
I can't leave the pykiin. Really, they're too precious to me to just let them go. However, I really don't have the time to take care of them anymore... at all. All of these changes that I tried to put into effect for the good of the community have been sitting around gathering dust and cobwebs, while there are capable people who could continue to support the Pykiin community.
It is with great sadness but also great hope that I choose to give the majority of my power as owner of the pykiin to Ponymama. I will continue to work behind-the-scenes - we have contact and I will be able to help develop the plotline even if I can't monitor it directly all the time. I will also be an artist "on loan" to continue to develop the pykiin as far as artwork. This simply means that in order to keep my place on Ponyisland, I'll need to pay for an account, which I often can't do by myself. Therefore, when I'm in need of a PI account, I'll gladly pay for it with my services as an artist for the Pykiin. This will be done a number of different ways - for example, I will create a new breed of pykiin in exchange for an account renewal, and those who contributed to buying the renewal will get customs of that new breed.
I'll also retain my position as the creator of the pykiin, and I'll be a co-owner in spirit, though Ponymama will be the owner. I'll also remain a staff member and come back periodically to guest color or just help out in general.
The switch is going to take some time - there's a lot that PM and I still need to discuss and a lot that I still need to take care of, but I wanted to let my pykiin friends to know that I haven't forgotten you and let you know what my current plans are for their future.
For those of you who want to keep in touch with me outside of the community, I frequent my deviantart - linaeve.deviantart.com - and I also have a Facebook, which I'll gladly give you access to if you PM me on the forums and ask nicely.
Blessings to all of you,
~Linaeve~
