Not Amused

Grace, or that was what she was named by her mother, walked carefully down the hill.

Her paws made no sound as she pursued the night, her blank eyes staring at nothing...and yet everything.

She blinked not once, but twice. She felt the hard lump against her throat as she took a few steps toward the bush. Her eyes wary as she dipped her down for her meal.

She really didn't have anything better to do, then let the moonlit glistening white fangs bite into the delicate things...called berries. They bruised so easily, making them a easy prey and meal.

When she finished, she licked the red juice off her lips. Trotting forward, her blank expression was gone now, and replaced with a calm setting.

Her body froze when she a heard a rustle in the bushes. Her back hair silently rising. She snapped her head tot he noise, and bared her fangs.

"Mother?!" She yelped as the two-tailed purple pykiin fell out of the bush...tangled in the roots of it.

Trinity Dawn broke away from her slumber in the Dryad's roots as she felt her eyes shift color and she was suddenly hungry. Her eyes snapped open and she got to her feet. She danced over to a tree and climbed up, reaching for an apple. She sunk her teeth into it and took a large chunk, chewing it and swallowing. She grinned cheerily and jumped off her branch, falling elegantly to the ground.

She heard a voice crying for her mother and Trinity Dawn turned her head quickly to see who it was. For some reason, she felt like she knew the voice, but she didn't know who or what it was. Trinity walked toward it cautiously, her ears alert and muscles tensed.

Seeing a purple, long-haired, two-tailed kiin with fangs by a berry bush surprised her. She was unaware of who or what this kiin was, other than that she was familiar for whatever reason; no less, she's never actually seen her before.

Trinity's eyes sparkled red glints as she walked defensively toward the female kiin. She said a simple, "Hello." not giving her name, and not relaxing. "Who are you?" She asked, curious and nervous both at once.

She slowly walked through the forest, following her Father. She knew he was leading her somewhere and she hoped it involved food, as she was rather hungry.

She sniffed the air and could smell something delicious up ahead.

Edward Cullen froze as he heard the voices up ahead.

"Lilith, I can go no further than here. Go on and meet you sisters and *shudder* mother." Edward replied. "There are also berry bushes up ahead, which I would definitely recommend."

Before Lilith could blink, Edward had disappeared. She rolled her eyes and walked towards the voices, hoping that they wouldn't touch her...oh how she hated to be touched! Only her father had permission to touch her, and he rarely ever did.

She stepped around the group stealthily and instead of speaking to anyone, made her way to the berry bush, nibbing a few berries before revealing herself.

"Hello Grace, Hello Trinity," she nodded to them both. Edward had told her their names...and also to beware the adult. Maybe if she just ignored the large purple female, she'd be left alone by her.

Grace lowered her head when two others came into view. Two tailed and purple in some way as well.

She sat down, confusion filling her head and then she looked at the one with reddish eyes. "My name is Grace." She nodded her head to wards the tangled pykiin.

"That's my-" She was cut off.
"I'm your mother!" The pykiin said cheerily, as she finally got out. She straightened herself out and looked at Trinity.

"Hello, dear. I'm Laura, your mother." She moved the two tails.

Grace had thoughts race in her mind...but one blurted out quickly.
"Keep your distance if you want to breathe!" She smacked her paw over her mouth, and Laura looked hurt.

"My hugs aren't that bad..." She whined. Her ears lifted to see another pykiin.

"Heh, it's like Edward to just drop off the child and leave." She rolled her eyes, and Grace grimaced at her slightly.

"Mother..." Grace hiss the word out and shuddered at the thought. "Will you just, leave." It wasn't a question, it was an order.

"No." She replied, looking at Grace. "Do you think I'm just going to leave my daughters....alone? You've got to be kidding me. I watched you all hatch from gemfruits...and...and...well I just can't leave you here alone. Since your father doesn-"
"Stop MOM!" Grace cried out, stomping her paw.

Lilith glared at her 'mother'

"As I recall, he was there to watch us hatch, but as he doesn't like you that much he keeps his distance. He's perfectly decent to me, and I'm sure he would be to his other daughters if given the chance," Lilith repied. "And just to make one thing clear, NO one touches me...not even the human touches me."

Trinity looked at the light purple girl with fair tan hair with confusion. "How do you know my name?" She was slightly nervous now.

She looked to the girl she was originally looking toward. "Hi, Grace. I'm Trinity," she said, relaxing quite a bit, considering that everyone appeared to know her, though she knew no one now, except Grace now.

"Mo...ther?" She was confused. She hadn't known either of her parents, except that she must have had parents. So who was her father? She'd ask later. Looking at her "sister" (she'd inferred this), she began to ask why she ought to keep her distance, but then heard Laura. "Mother...." She murmured, feeling guilty. She gave Laura a quick hug, then backed away, slightly nervous. She wanted to fit in, since this now appeared to be her family, but she felt slightly wrong.

"Who's... Edward?" She'd realized the answer to her question after all the yelling. "Well... don't blame him, Mother.... But you don't have to leave...." She frowned, not knowing what to do to "fit in".

Lilith almost smiled at Trinity, for some reason, she was alright with her.

"My name is Lilith, Edward is our father, a rather special Pykiin, whom I see you have inherited his eyes from," she paused at glared once more at Laura. "Later, I shall take you to see him, as he wants to meet his other daughters as well."

Laura got up, and her face looked like she was deep in thought. "Well he's allowed to see you guys. It's not like I'm keeping Gracie un-"
"Don't call me that!" Grace barked, her hair rising and getting up from the ground. Her teeth baring. "I'm serious."
"Fine, fine." Laura gave up, and let out a sigh...she was taken by surprise by the quick hug from Trinity.
"Thanks, hon." Laura smiled.

Grace rolled her eyes, and started to walk away.
"Where are you going, dear?"
"Away from you..." Was her answer, as she flicked her tails. "Maybe see my dad, I dunno."
"Oh." Laura felt defeated.

Grace's walk turned into a sprint. Her hair blowing from the blistering winds against her face. She stopped when she felt 'safe' and laid down, making pictures in the dirt.

Odd pictures, of evil things. She then drew a picture of a monster eating Laura.

She chuckled and quickly erased the image.
