Guess who is a legal driver?  I went to the DMV at 3:00 today to take the dreaded test and ended up with a lovely evaluator who actually only had one arm. He smiled as soon as we stepped up to the counter, and I knew that it wasn't going to be a traumatizing thing. I ended up with a few small blunders (parallel parking was better than usual, but still messy), but did enough things right to pass *dances* Tomorrow I drive alone for the first time! |

Yay, congrats! Being able to drive alone is an amazing freedom, even if you don't choose to use it often. I'm glad you got a nice judge, it can be really scary if they're not nice. I remember some auditions...
Let us know how it feels to go driving alone tomorrow!

Farn, I had to read that last word about fifteen times before I got it xD
I'm just really glad I got a friendly evaluator, or I would've been a nervous wreck. And driving is only scary when you don't know what you're doing or where you're going. Otherwise, it becomes second nature pretty quickly ^^

Wheeeeeeeeeee! *dances for Lin* Exciting news really! Congrats. I know my first time driving by myself was the coolest, I didn't have my dad sitting next to me slamming his foot acting like he had the breaks. xD |

Hahahah, I know how that is xD My dad loves to grab the wheel when I'm doing something wrong D: Or he'll yell "slowdownslowdownslowDOWN" as we're coming to a turn... he's gotten better about trusting me in the car, though, possibly because I've been doing a better job of controlling the car.

Congratulations Lin! Heh, whenever my mom is in the same car as my older brother and he's driving. Every time he stops she will clutch that handle thing, and brace herself for an impact. Though there never is one. |

I used to go a considerable amount faster than the speed limit when on the highway, and my dad used to clentch his teeth when I would pass someone. He used to alwasy tell me that he was just waiting for me to take out the side of someone's car. xD
I wasn't that bad really, I just had a problem with parking.
It was so funny the first time I tried to park he literally looked me dead in the face and said, "Okay, now get out of the car to see how strait you are not." xD

Ohman, Cam, I phail at parking x.x My one and only incident was when I tried to pull into a parking space without any instruction. I've been terrified of straight parking ever since, but I'm slowly getting used to it.

I will never forget driving with my instructor...he was more nerve racking than the lady who gave me my driving test!
I had only driven on a highway the day before, and I was the last one in my group (me and three others, plus teacher in car) I had to pull out of the parking spot, in a crowded Mall parking lot...and get on the interstate...I was terrified!
I'd be driving, trying to concentrate and all of a sudden, this hand would appear in front of me, and pull the car back into the right lane xD and I was gripping the steering wheel so tightly, my knuckles were white
I passed though, and I got to drive all the way from the mall, home, which was over an hour, and much longer than anyone else got to xD
