The first son of Lakrai, and his oldest child with Emerald, Rivan inherited his father's love of the sky. From the moment he learned to fly, he prefered it to walking. Rivan is sometimes cocky, and he believes that he can lean to do anything as quickly as he took to the air. That belief has not yet gotten him into trouble, but it no doubt will.
Rivan's name is derived from the Rhierai word for wind.
