Justin pondered through the Valley. For his whole life he had been living up in the mountains alone. He only remembered tiny blurred images of his mother,father,and brother.It was like pieces of a puzzle. He didn't understand how these blurred faces that every day were turning into be more like fantasys could keep him awake day and night.
It had been ages since he come down to the Valley. Finally, as if the Dryad had called him back in his dreams by using those scattered memories he felt a glimpse of hope. He knew he was only setting himself up for disappointment,but something pulled him here anyways.

Iolani was making on of those rare trips back into the Valley. For most of her life, she's lived next to it, never in it. But it was time to visit old friends. Flittering as happy as the spirits lifted her mood, Io stumbled upon a very... purple, red grape colored kiin. Waiting a minute while her ears tried to pick up the sounds and approvals of the spirits before she approached him.
"Aloha there little guy. Now, I don't live her very much, but I haven't seen you before. What is your name?" Io asked with a welcoming tone, though her last question was a little redundant. For she already heard his name from her spirit friends.

"Err...no I don't live here."said Justin looking at the colorul flitterkiin."I live in the mountains over there."He gestured towards the mountains he had come down from."I was born here,but left when I was young. I'm here on a mission to find my family and my name is Justin."he said."And you are?"

Io nodded before smiling. "Well, neither do I. In fact, I live in a little den on a small island. But enough of that. Why don't I help you? The Sun, Sky and Ocean seem to be at peace with each other. And doesn't look like Storm will be hitting the Valley soon." She hesitated a little before giving her name to a complete stranger. Even if he was a kiin. "My name is Iolani. Io for short. And nice to meet you Justin." She said, awknowldeing his name. (Just to let you know, when I capitalize words that aren't normally capitalized, Io is talking about a spirit  ) |

Io sat down to ponder, wrapping her tail around herself and putting her paw to her chin. She looked down with the side of her mask raised. "Then I can't really help you out there my young friend. Do you have a pounce?"

"Well...I think I might remember waht my father looks like.Do you know a pykiin that is....kinda like a light pink with a lavender mane and horns?"he asked desperately."Er.. and my brother has a swan marking..."then he looked up at Io.A pounce?What is that?"

Io nodded happily. "Good, good! Though, in my short lived travels, I don't think I've ever met a pykiin of that descriptions, but don't worry." Io hushed a moment, closed her eyes and evened out her breathing.It was a moment before anything happened. When she opened her eyes again, she looked pleased. "The Dryad tells me this way." And she began to walk, slow enough for Justin to follow.
"A pounce something I'm not to familiar with. I live alone, but my pounce lives in a treehouse. It's like a family that 'adopts' you in a way." Io explained.

Justin jumped up to follow Io."I see."he said as she described a pounce."Maybe my father's pounce will take me in.."he said."If they even want me. I never really knew if they left me on purpose because they didn't want me,or if they couldn't find me or something.I guess..that's why I came back after so long...."he said trailing off.

Io shook her head and tilted her head, "Don't be a pessimist. If they didn't want you, which I highly doubt, then you should know that you're better then them." A wry smile played around her.
"It's good to find out who you're parents are. Not knowing is like growing up without roots. We cannot stand up." Io looked away for a moment before returning her gaze back to Justin and their path.

"I guess you could say that the Dryad is a spirit..." Io awcknowledged before continueing. "We're going southwest from the Dryad. She said if would be a bit of a walk so I was thinking about flying or taking a break when we pass half way." She smiled warmly.
Io didn't say much for a moment but when she did, she asked Justin something. "What do you plan to do after you meet your father or brother?"

"I....I'm not sure really.I guess there is so much I want to say. I want to be angry at them for leaving me,cry because I'm meeting them, and laugh because I finally get to hug them again..."he looked down at his paws."There's so much I don't know about them. I don't know if my brother is already grown I don't even know if they're still in the valley."He coughed."Err...sorry about that." he was silent for a while.

Io nodded, her mind faint and a bit distanced. "Typical feelings." Io shook her head. "You seem so down, lighten up. We should see your father's home soon. And don't worry." A warm smile radiated from Io. Time for a subject change, Iolani thought. Their current topic of conversation was bringing her to a meloncholy state of mind.
As casual as ever, Io asked "Where do you live right now? I don't see much of living here. I think it more comfortable in my little den on my little island." Io smile while she remembered about her cosy home.

"I live off in those mountains over there."he said gesturing towards the huge mountains the surrounded the Valley. It's pretty nice up there. It's not crowded or anything which is the way I like it. So where is your Island den?"
