Yup, I've got just a couple of days before i head back home in the US. Its been a fun vacation, but I'm almost ready to go back to my own bed (becuase i miss my pillows D:)
There's so much I wanna talk about... lets see... first, I don't have the picturest hat I had promised becuase someone in the city stole my camera. Yes, sadly, Vietnam has a lot of pickpoketers if your not paying attention to what's going on. So yeah, my camera has sadly left my possetion... but! That doesn't stop the fun right? Well, a few days ago, we climbed about 4 moutains, one each day. The most tiring one was at a temple... all 700 stairs.. up and down... I think I seriosly won't think about excerising after this...
Waterfalls were just gorgeous! Everything was so natural, you would hardly ever believe that it was touched by humans. People over here drive more motorcycles than cars., it's scary. Everywhere you go, you don't look to avoid 4 or 5 cars - you look to avoid about 10 to 15 motocycles! it's like playting frogger but the cars moved faster and and there's a whole line that comes at you. o.O
The schools here are so... different from ours. When your done with school for the year, well you get summer right? Well, sort of. You also get this thing called :"Summer Learning" or :"More Schooling" where they teach even more things than in the original school year. I felt bad for my coisins o..o
You won't believe how cheap or less priced things are here. You can trade in $1 USD for `15,000 VND (vietnam dollar). It's crazy. So in total, I think i spent about 500000 VND but really only spent a good 80 USD... crazy huh?
There was this time wheere we went canoeing to a temple right? Well, oh the way there, it was deathly sunny, but when we got back... it was raining...really hard. And we were stuck in a canoe the whole way... The wind was blowing and the rain was filling our boat... yeah... fun.
My uncle got bitten by a leach, that was weird. Lol, my family freaked out, but i was the only one who was calm because leeches don't really harm you... witht those leech pools that some people with blood clots go to allt he time. We also went to see Ha Long Bay. One of the 7 wodners of the world. Natural wonders that is.. It's was so awesome, in the caves, there were tones of chinese writing on the ceilings, way up high. Which probably meant long years of eroding by the stream water up on the mountains. Very wet...
Vietnam is growing. 7 years ago, all the roads were made out of dirt and you would have these old women carrying these young orphans, it was an unbearable site. But now the economy is really growing and doing very well, it's makes me really happy
Though, there are no air conditioners here,so they only use fans.. weird...
(excuse the typing, keyboards here are so stiff and small, it's practically killing my wrists to use it
)
So, i know alot of things have happened in my absense, and I just want a little update. I see everyone's updated their breeding threads in the breeding section, am I right? Boy, it'll be hard to get into the swing of things with everything coming back to normal here, lol
And just to ask, how has everyone been doing? I've missed you all so much, it was really unbearable to not beable to see how yopu all were doing.
