I just got off the phone with my dad, and our trees behind the house are on fire, so I'm on my way to help my parents...even if all I can do is hug my mom, I still want to be there
Forest fires are no joke, and we have 70 acres of dry pine trees due to lack of rain
Prayers or good thoughts would be most appreciated

I think I'm lucky this year because of all of the rainfall, no forest fires yet... >.>
You, your family, and any others that may be experiencing problems because of the fire will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything turns out okay in the end.

Scary. I know the town I live in was on fire the year that we moved here, but had been doused just a small time before the move.
Fires are no joke, I am very hoping you and your parents house will be ok.

Back **sighs** I'm not a little sooty, but thanks to all the fire brakes dad had put in, things are ok. Even wildlife casualties were minimal, since Dad always made sure there were trails through the brush. In total we lost about 10 out our 70 acres, and we were able to get it out before it came near the house.
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts, it could have been a lot worse, so God was definitely keeping an eye on us today.

i'm back at my parents visiting with familiy (I get to see my niece who's now 2 months old xD) and I'll try to get out there to take some pictures
