~Name meaning~
Eternally beautiful and unfading, everlasting. (Also means "deep purple-red")

~Nicknames~
She will only allow her good friends to call her Ammy.

~Home~
Amaranthine lives in a forested area not far from the Dryad. She and Orrtha sleep in small burrows underground to keep protected from the rain, but for the most part their home is out in the open. It's in a small clearing, surrounded well by thick tree trunks. The grass has been patted down from repeated use of the area, and small patches of wildflowers grow around the edge of their main living area. Amaranthine is currently working on weaving a wall of brambles to keep wild remiel out of the house.

Orrtha is her adopted daughter

~Soulmate~
She has her eye on Moose, but still believes that he is in a relationship with his mate from the last breeding season, Lady Amalthea.

~Pastimes~
Amaranthine is a creature of habit and structures her day around a regular schedule. However, every once in a while she'll do something spontaneous and just let loose for a while. She enjoys searching for food, teaching Orrtha about the Valley, and spending time with Moose.

~Dislikes~
People with no respect for others, Nightwish, messiness and disorganization, loud noises, fluorescent colors.

~Personality~
Ammy is very proper and maternal, but at the same time loves to have fun and knows when to step back and let a kiin have its space. She's understanding and loves to help people with their problems. She's stern and firmly disciplines disrespectful kiin (and sometimes gives the adults a good telling-off, too).

~Quirks~
She's adamant about eating only things from a certain part of the Valley, and sometimes wishes she were a pirate.



~Personality~
Palido knows how to be sarcastic. He also knows how to bring out the best in Ammy, and encourages her playful and loving side.

~Other~
Palido is based off of the Pale Man from "Pan's Labyrinth" (but don't worry, he doesn't eat fairies and little 'kiin).
