Master Shifu was meh faaaavoorrite character in Kung-Fu Panda!


I thought he was supposed to be a Red Panda too. I kept whispering to my mom about it in the theater. x3
I don't see what else he could be, even if he doesn't look exactly like one. They probably just tweaked it to make him have a certain look.

He does have those little whiskers that made me think of an Eastern Lung. :3

Haven't seen it but maybe he is supposed to be very old and very wise and has gone grey?

You know, now that I think about it, it does look like they took 'liberties.' I think what they did was make his markings look just like a normal panda's, but with red instead of black. That would explain the eye mask he has and the red at his ears, but why the rest of his face is white. They might have been making him look more like Po so people could see the similarities between the two characters.
