No spoilers, please D:I'm really excited, I'm going to go see Kung Fu Panda with my bff Schwo and a bunch of other friends tomorrow, and there's a 50/50 chance I'm going to see WALL*E with Jycius next Friday! FUN STUFF So, has anyone seen Kung Fu Panda yet? It looks really good but Jy refuses to see it (he's too picky cultured for that). I don't like too much of the Dreamworks stuff, Shrek just didn't do anything for me, but the few clips I've seen of KFP so far are looking pretty good. I like the animation style, and Jack Black seems to bring a lot to the character of Po. I'm really liking Tigress's character design, too ^^ (Of course, the fact that my friends and I are completely panda-obsessed for goofy, pointless reasons has nothing to do with it >.>) And Jy has been gushing about WALL*E all day, haha. We're both big Pixar fans (how can you not be? Pixar is genius!) and we're really looking forward to seeing it. It would be pretty cool to see it opening night, but might we need to buy tickets in advance, or at least show up really early? I'm not sure. The trailers have been just so darn cute, and really, this website shows just how genius Pixar really is: www.buynlarge.comSo, how are all the other moviegoers here? Anything you're really looking forward to or have seen lately?

I seriously LOVED Kung Fu Panda. I don't usually buy comedy/family dvd's, but I'm buying that as soon as it comes out. I love when they get really good voice actors to do so many characters. I love Jack Black, Denis Hoffman, Lucy Lui, Jackie Chan, and Angelina Joli!
My only only complaint is that they didn't give Jackie Chan many lines. Poo. ;_;
So many good movies have come out lately! And luckily my local theater is only $3.50 a ticket during the day... hee hee. Recently I've seen Kung Fu Panda, Indiana Jones, Iron Man (twice), Hulk, and Narnia. XD
I didn't know Wal-e was this weekend! I'm totally going! ^_^

Haha, lucky xD I'm pretty sure I'm paying eight bucks to get in tomorrow, as per usual P:
Iron man was really good enough to see twice? Haha, I'm really not the comic book type.
Wall*e is going to be next Friday, the 27th, actually.

The bad news is that the theater is like the only thing to do in this town, so it's always pretty crowded. lol.
I saw Iron Man twice because a friend was visiting and I had already seen all the good movies so I told her to pick one, I wouldn't mind seeing any of them again. lol But yeah I like comic books okay. ^_^ The Hulk was nice for an action flick, but not one of my faves. However I'm really really looking forward to Devil Boy 2! It's directed by the guy who did Pan's Labyrinth! All the bad guys look like they stepped right out of Pan's. It's gonna be aaaawesome.
Oh, thanks. haha. I shall mark my calendar! Will probably see The Happening this weekend, actually. Ooooo, M. Night's first R-rated mooovie... *insert scary music*

I'm going to see Wall*e. It'll be fun. <3
I recently saw Indiana Jones, yesterday actually. It was a bit farfetched with the idea, but overall a pleasing action film.
And I believe my sister took her childrent to see Kung Fu Panda. She thought it was amusing, and don't even get me started on how many times my nephew has kicked me acting like he actually knew how to do all those crazy stunts. xD
I have to pay seven buckeroos, so I don't get to go to the movies often. -lol-

GUILLERMO DEL TORO. <3.
Sorry, I just think he's a filmmaking genius. I want to see The Orphanage, that looks pretty creepy. Creepier than Pan's.
Hahahah, Cam, gotta love kids xD Well... I've had to deal with about thirteen of them every day this week, so I've had enough of them for the time being... That actually reminds me of a clip I saw where Po was running around in the Hall of Warriors (or something to that extent) like a little kid in a toy shop. Kung fu seems to be a hit with the boys xD
'Night for now, everyone <3

At McDonalds we have the Kung Fu Panda Toys and the toys alone make me want to go see it! lol
And I just seen the commercials for WALL*E the other day and that movie looks amazing! I really want to go see that! It probably is because it's a Pixar movie. LOVE Pixar movies their storylines are so cute! Plus they are the ones that come up with the good story lines and then everyone else comes up with a slightly different version. I hate that!
But Yeah! They both look like really good movies. I'd rather see WALL*E than Kung Fu Panda more because Jack Black is not one of my favorite actors he's just got too much of an ego for me...

I'm so upset! They took Narnia out of theaters today in order to put in all the new ones that came out today! >.<
So we went to see Kung Fu Panda instead...and now Jade has two new ideas for pykiin >.>

Narnia was really good, but I'm biased lol ^^ I just love watching animated animals and fantasy creatures too much to not love it.
Panda was pretty good, I actually liked the kung-fu scenes because the animation was stunning and the settings/scenarios were interesting. For the most part, the kung fu bits weren't just thrown in for the sake of having them, they added to the story and character development in an interesting and exciting way.

I really loved the set up they have between Tai Lung and Master Shifu. I hope I'm not the only one who felt sympathetic for the villain for a little bit there, and I hope it was intentional on the writers' parts.
XD Oh Jade. Kung Fu Pykiin, eh?

Yeah, I actually felt sympathetic for Tai Lung when I first saw him in the prison. Eep! Sorry, Jade, I think you're just about a week late with that one... Was Shifu supposed to be a red panda? His colors were all wrong, and he seemed a bit too small compared to the other characters P: Yeah, he couldn't have been a red panda, unless the animators took a -lot- of liberties, because his paws, ears, and tail weren't very red panda-ish either. (So what was Shifu, anyways? x3)

I'm pretty sure he was supposed to be a red panda, yeah, but they made a lot of his fur white to make him appear old. If you remember some of the scenes when he was younger his fur was more red and black.
Hmm, now that I think about it, it's possible he could have been a tanuki (aka raccoon dog/badger dog). He has the eye mask that tanuki have. But they have regular brown and black coloring, and shifu did have some rusty red amidst the white. Also he had the striped tail, which tanuki don't have but red pandas do.
Hmm! Mystery!
