I'm sorry, but I feel like life just isn't allowing me time for the Pykiin anymore.

I've been trying to get out of this hiatus for the past year or so, and now I'm almost done with it. I can just see the end of the tasks that need to be taken care of, the little things I still need to distribute. The problem is, I know that as soon as I start up more events, I'm going to fall into that hiatus again. This summer is going to be busier than last summer, I'm sure of it, and next year is going to be busier than this year. I think it's rather futile for me to keep you here hoping that I'll have more events for you when I know I won't be able to fulfill them.

Also, people everywhere are influencing me to try new things and experience new art forms, and I'm having so much fun with things I didn't even consider beforehand. I've matured artistically, to be honest, and the Pykiin are feeling more and more like a box that I can't grow in. When I work with the pykiin, I'm doing the same things over and over, there's very little room for experimentation, and my artistic muse is just begging me to try new things. I need to start working on building a solid portfolio for college, and I don't know how far the pykiin will get me.

I don't want to put away the Pykiin completely. I've had lots of fun with them and I've met so many wonderful people through them. I know I have a few things left to take care of (which I'll list in my next post- feel free to poke me if I missed any of them), and I'm more than willing to finish up these projects before letting go. I have two options in front of me:

- Refund all items and keep the roleplay forums open. Every once in a while I may come back to roleplay or do a mini-event, but for the most part things would be left alone.

- Find someone who is willing to take over after I leave and give her all of the templates/records/etc. I would stay in the background as a guest colorer once in a while, or help out with technical things if need be. If anyone has Photoshop and is willing to help out with this, please message me and let me know- I would be more than happy to find the pykiin a new owner.

Once again, my apologies for this (seemingly) abrupt decision. I really wish I had all the time in the world, but I don't, and if I don't start managing it better now I'll be in a lot of trouble later. Feel free to ask questions, as usual.

At this point, all I can say, is that you need to do what's best for you. If you think it would be best to hand the pykiin over to someone else, that's fine with me. As long as I know that you think it is the right thing to do. I just don't want you to worry yourself to death.
It seems to me that you just have too much on your hands, including the Pykiin. More events would be fun, and having you with us more often would be nice, but if it's just too much on top of everything else, I'd be more happy knowing you're not stressed out and worrying about us and what the future will bring.
We will be fine in the Valley no matter what you choose to do.


As long as you check in to tell us how things are going every once in a while, hehe. ^^ -hugs-

I'm just so speechless... The Pykiin are my world and they just won't be the same without you!
But Lin has to do what is best for her and if that is giving up Pykiin to a worthy person then that is whats best!

I'm sorry! This was something probably predicted but sad all the same. I agree with Blondie pykiin have become huge things for me and most of the reason I stay on PI,however I understand your situation and it probably will be best. The Valley might change,but atleast you would be able to enjoy again.

Grow artistically. It is the best thing to do. I used to draw with pencil and paper but have no interest in that anymore, so now I use the computer. Just because I am still learning with it.

My hubby used to draw with pencil and paper too, but has moved to paints. Sometimes one medium is not the only one for you.

I can't say that I am surprised. It seems like every time you turn around you have more on your plate, and trust me I know how that feels. It's a sad fact to have this happen, and I honestly have few words to say.

If you feel its best for you, then go ahead. I'm not one to stop you artistically. I love seeing what you will come up with next. Your talent never ceases to amaze me, and I can see why you would feel like you are in a rut with Pykiin.

You don't have the time needed to run them, and that's understandable. I wouldn't say drop them all together, I would say stay with whom ever you hand them off to, and help (when you can) like finish the story line, and help make the new 'breeds' that go along with it. But again since you feel like you are confined in a box with Pykiin, you may not wish to do this.

Don't worry what ever you chose will be warmly accepted by not only me, but more than likely everyone else. We can all understand hard times, and time crunches. They're a part of life that never go away, and for lack of better words suck.

There are also better things to use time with, and being the age you are is a prime time for you to get out into the world and explore. Do new things.

Awww, Lin. This must have been so hard for you to write. *hugs* On one hand I'm so, so sad to hear this, because you are a wonderful person and we will miss you so much. But also, I understand completely what you're saying. I remember entering college and having absolutely no time for the things I used to do in high school. It's a very life changing situation. It wasn't until I graduated four years later that I picked up some things again, and there were some things I just never got back into.

Whatever you decide, we are all your friends and we'll all miss you terribly. *hugs* We hope you'll still stop by and say hi to us often, so we know how you're doing.

I think it's great that you're getting into new art forms and growing as an artist. It's sad that the pykiin aren't part of that, but that's the way things go.

Have you considered co-owning? That way, someone else could do the regular events, but you'd still be able to be involved if you thought of something new.

Also, a quick question. We've seen glimpses of the fire breed pykiin. Are you planning on releasing the fire breed?

I'm a little surprised and at a little loss for words. It was only a year since I joined PI and my first adoptable was a pykiin. That's how I got into adoptables. I was hoping they could go on, even if you were busy and only got to them once every 6 months or so.

I don't know about the two options you've laid infront of yourself. But I do like the idea (as the others have stated) co-owning and to not drop them all together. Letting them go like that hurts me a little. They were and still are everything to me. I still want you to stay with the pykiin, whether you still own them or you work behind the scenes. It's just to hard for me to believe.

And with that being said, I understand what's ahead for you. Getting ready for more highschool/College and searching for new things to satisfy new wants. Yeah... But don't go away! Come back soon! I'll be waiting for you and at the very least, I know everyone else will
