Edan is the son of Pele and Flamepaw. He was fostered outside the Valley by a mysterious fire elemental, and when he returned he clashed immediately with his father. Seri offered to take the kiin in and teach him the discipline neccessary to gaining the power of fire that he so desires. Although Edan has quite a temper, he slowly learned to control it. He disliked living in the crowded grove, with numerous other kiin around, so he often wandered the Valley. However, Seri made sure that he was not alone, since she didn't yet trust his control and didn't want him to get into more trouble. Edan's most frequent companion was Isalair, since she is one of the few who doesn't chatter at him. Tamarai and Aralair irritate him thoroughly. Recently, Seri decided Edan had grown enough to not require her supervision and teaching anymore. Right on cue, Yonalik appeared to bond with him, and to permit him to become an adult. Now Edan is responsible for himself, but he has a companion to remind him, just in case. Family: Pele, mother Flamepaw, father Nuri, Ildri, sisters

Yonalik has joined Edan as his bonded. She is Edan's best friend, and though they don't speak much, they are usually together. Yonalik supports Edan's drive to become a fire elemental, and she tempers his fire with her own. She has a sharp wit, and uses it to deflate her bonded when necessary, or anyone else when it amuses her. Her name means fiery.
