Braden slept in his tree. It was a willow tree with a hole in the side of it. The tree wasn't very big but happened to be suprisingly big on the inside. He had set up a bed with rocks, leaves, and feathers. When he woke up he walked out of the tree. He yawned and glared up at the Mountain that was behind his tree. He then looked at the Forest of Willows that were in front of his tree. He couldn't be more happy at such a wonderful home.
But something inside him kept him from staying there. He had to meet new Pykiin there were only two Pykiin that he knew, Mackenzie and Kiriya. So he decided to head into the Valley.

Elk was out in the Valley early that day. More and more often he felt uncomfortable living in his mother's glen. "The Ghost" as the other Valley inhabitants called her, didn't like company very much. Even the company of her own son. Elk was spending more time each day looking for nice spots in the Valley, thinking of finding his own home.
This morning he was out looking at the north of the Valley and saw a blue Elven entering the Valley. Interested, he trotted over to him. "Hello there," he said. "My name's Elk. Welcome to the Valley? Is this your first time here?"

"Hello." Braden smiled. "My name is Braden. No, not my first time I have been here a little while. Not too long though."
"Are you new here?" He asked. "I myself like to stay in my tree or very close to it. So not too many Pykiin see me. But also the reason why I came out here."

"Ahh, I see." Elk took a seat in the soft grass, settling in to have a conversation with this new person. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Braden. No, I'm not new here. I was born in the Valley from the Great Season, as some of the Pykiin I know call it. It's when many babies were born here in the Valley at the same time. I live with my mother, and my father is Moose, who does not live with us. We stay in a small glen near the Dryad."
Elk tipped his head and blinked his soft blue eyes. "To be honest, I have thought of moving out of my glen and looking for my own home. But I know I'm still young, and I'm not sure if I can live on my own just yet."

Braden too sat. "Very nice to meet you, too!" He smiled. "Oh. I see. That sounds like a fun time." He said speaking of the 'Great Season.'
"Why do you want to move out?" He asked he wished he had a mother he could stay with. "You aren't too young I am doing it."
