We just finished reading it in school, and I just... I don't know. It was like the best book EVAR for me. <333333
I want Danny DeVito to hurry up and make the movie. Morgan Freeman would be awesome as Zachariah. <33333

It takes place in 1832. It's about a 13 year old girl who was taught to be proper, and hher main goal in life was to become a "lady."
She goes on a voyage across to atlantic back to America(She was in a boarding school in england) and comes back completely changed.
On that voyage, she witnesses death, cruelty, attempted mutiney, and, is accused of murder and found guilty.
Sinny read it. xD That's all I have to say.

Sounds interesting, I have to read the Devil's arthimatic in English though. >.> ((I fell asleep yesterday so I ish got in trouble, so i have to read 2 chapters in it this weekended....))

Holy wow this is a blast from the past! XD I had to read that in junior high... nine years ago. Heh heh. It was a great book. I remember for my "end-of-the-year" project I had to re-write the ending. It was fun. ^_^

Neat! A lot of people have read it. :3
It's really inspired me to do a drawing of her sometime, maybe in teh crows' nest looking out at sea or something. <3
