Isa is Rala's twin. She favors the night, especially the dusk-time for which she is named. More reserved than her sister, she is still friendly, but she is more contemplative and less active. Very calm and collected, she has an unusual level of self-knowledge. While she doesn't always know what she wants or what she should do, she knows what she is. All else can flow from that.
When Edan came into Serisai's care, Isa spent a lot of time with him. She sympathized with the male, though she didn't always trust him. Isa knew he would never hurt her, but that others, such as her twin, could easily provoke his temper.
Isa and Rala grew up together, as they did most other things. However, Isa felt she was growing into herself, while Rala was growing out of herself. This dichotomy disturbed the relationship between the twins, with Isa becoming more independant, and Rala more clingy.
