Lakrai wheeled through the sky, lost in thought. This was getting to be a habit. The only question was, a good habit or a bad habit? Was he staying out of the way, or hiding? Was he being considerate or cowardly?
The blue male shook his head and pumped his wings harder. He supposed that he should at least see how Sorka was doing. And the kits, of course, how could he forget the kits? What were their names again? They were both girls, he remembered that much. He'd been rather disappointed to have two girls, though Sorka had seemed delighted.
Maybe that was part of what made her so upset. On second thought, though, probably not. She'd been ready to leave him long before they had kits. Ever since she'd bonded to that syora, she'd been growing away from him. What was her name? Kala, Kalae, Kalea, that was it. If that syora had just chosen someone else...
But that wasn't fair. He'd been pushing Sorka himself, to be more social, to make more friends. She would have left him eventually anyway.
That wasn't fair either. It was his fault she'd left. He'd pushed her to change, and then tried to keep her the way she was. He hadn't wanted her, he'd wanted what he'd though she could become. That wasn't any kind of way to go about a relationship. He'd been entirely in the wrong.
Having admitted that at last, Lakrai felt immeasurably better. He turned his flight back toward the Valley, feeling ready to return to civilization for the first time since Sorka had left him. He saw the river beneath him, and, taking a deep breath, folded his wings. He landed neatly on the bank, and looked around.

Sara lazily padded down a wooded trail, looking for that butterfly that she had been chasing. She sighed when her search came up as a failure, and laid down under a small oak tree. Its brilliant green leaves filtered golden light, making it dance on the grass. Sara watched it, and soon became sleepy. Sleep drifted over her, and her eyes slowly closed. She slept deeply, not having any dreams. She woke suddenly when something hard landed on her soft back, and she jumped up, looking for the thing that attached her.
She saw a large branch, which was a deep brown, and a couple inches thick. Looking up into the young oaks branches, she saw nothing but emerald leaves. She gracefully leaped up onto the lowest branch, using her long nose to see if anything had recently been there. Only the wonderful scent of the woods greeted her, and she inwardly sighed. Climbing up onto the highest branch, she looked up into the air just in time to see an adult Pykiin land onto the ground.
She quickly leaped down onto the earth floor, and made towards the adult Pykiin at a brisk trot. "Hey! Who are you?" She asked nosily, a curious expression on her young face. She sat down, her fluffy tail moving impatiently through the thick grass.

Lakrai turned at a thudding sound behind him in time to see a white and cyan kiin coming towards him. He nodded his head in polite greeting, hiding a smile at her enthusiasm. "I am Lakrai. Who are you?"
As he spoke, he studied the kiin before him. Her bright cyan hurt his eyes if he looked straight at it, so he tried to focus on her white body. After a moment of thought, he realized he was towering over her, and he lay down carefully to bring his head level with hers. The tip of his puffy tail twitched with a mind of its own, and he half-spread his wings to absorb the warm sunlight.

"Oh, ive never heard of you before. Im Sara." She said, puffing her chest hair out proudly. "Where did you come from? Did you travel a long way? Why did you come back?" She asked, showering with bunches of questions. She flapped her small feathery wings when she noticed his very large ones.
"Those are some biiigg wings." She exclaimed, walking around him. "Will mine get this big? I hope so." She said, pretty much talking to herself. She sat back down on the grass in front of him, satisfied with her inspection.

"Yes, Sara, your wings will get big when you grow up." Lakrai spread his bright wings to their full span, showing them to the kiin. He was rather proud of the size and strength of his wings. Flying almost constantly for several weeks was bound to make your wing muscled strong.
I came to the Valley quite a while ago, though recently I've been spending a lot of time away." Lakrai returned to her earlier questions. "You see, the female I liked started spending time with a friend of hers, and she didn't need me as much. I didn't like that, so I made some mistakes, and she decided she could do without me entirely. I've been flying to clear my thoughts, and figure out what I did wrong." He smiled wryly. "It took me quite a while, but I suppose I have a rather thick head."

Sara gasped in awe at his beautiful wings, and looked at her little ones. She giggled when he said that he had a thick head, and sighed. "Im trying to fly, and ive got like...a whole foot off the ground! It was sooo cool." She said excitedly, wanting to share her accomplishments to him.
"And im sure she probably misses you, you seem very nice." She said, smiling. "Do you miss her?" She asked, her face serious. "What does she look like? Maybe i have seen her before." She said, her face puzzled.

"Very good, soon you'll be soaring the skies like any veteran flyer." Lakrai smiled at Sara and pulled his wings in to rest on his back. "There is nothing more magical that being lost in the skies, nothing there but you and the sun, the clouds, the wind."
The big male shook his head. "I miss her, yes, but I don't think I love her. Actually," he corrected, "I don't think I ever loved her. I loved what I wanted her to be. That's not the same thing at all." He stopped, shaking his head again. "But here I am, unburdening my heart to a little kiin. You can't want to hear all this." After a short pause, he said, "She is pale blue, with a soft yellow mane and a white mask. Her name is Sorkalai."

Sara listened intently, her little white face serious. "You know, just because im a "kiin" doesn't mean i dont understand all of this." She said stubbornly, a small smile appearing on her face. She thought for a moment, then laid down too. "So you wanted her to be different?" She asked, more to herself than him.
"I dont recognize the name, but i think i might have seen her somewhere in the valley." She said thoughtfully. "I go all over the valley, so i see most of the Pykiin. And i dont remember most because they never talk to me." She said, frowning at the thought.

Lakrai nodded, but said, "Just because you understand does not mean I have the right to burden you with my life troubles." Then he sighed, and answered her question. "Yes, I wanted her to change, and then I was unhappy when her change was wrought from a different source."
He smiled, remembering Sorka with kiins. "If you had met her, I am sure she would have talked to you. She loves kiins." His smile turned sad and his voice grew quiet. "You should have seen her with our kits. She's a great mother."

Sara looked at him, and saw his sadness. "It will be alright, im sure you can still be friends with her. Maybe if you feel that you should, apologize to her." She said, looking at her bright paws. "Do you like flowers and plants?" She asked curiously, her eyes sparkling.
"I am going to be an earth element when i am bigger." She announced proudly, flapping her small wings. "Then i can grow things so easily. Especially flowers. Colorful and bright ones." She said, smiling.

(( Sorry, I've been typing a report for english. xD ))
Addei who was by now convinced that her daughter had multiple personalities strolled near by with her youngin on her back half asleep, "Mama, where are we going?" Brandy asked as she rubber her eyes sleepily.
Adelina smiled, "Home, Hun."
"Okay." Brandy simply replied as she finally driffted off to sleep after a long day with Cheyenne. As Addei crossed the feild a slight breeze ruffled her fur tufts and tangleing her mane. Her bracelets clinked together and her mane got caught in her earings. She looked like a wreck and she felt like she needed sleep, but that wasn't going to stop her from helping a Pykiin the seemed to be in despiration off in the distance.
As came more near the two she gave the Male a smile, Addei hadn't known his name, or even who he was exactly, but he seemed a tad troubled so she stopped.
"Hun, what is it you are having a problem with?" She asked sounding genuinely concerned. Addei glanced back at her daughter and smiled as Brandy was still sleeping. Slowly and carefully she slipped Brandy off her back and placed her on the soft grass imbetween her front paws.

"I have every intention of appologizing when I see her," Lakrai replied calmly. He took her change of subject in stride. "I do like plants, though I must admit I prefer the open sky." He smiled down at her enthusiastic declaration. "I'm sure you will make an excellent earth elemental, with that kind of passion driving you."
He turned to the female whe just arrived, and blinked in surprise. "Are you alright, miss?" he asked, concerned. "Ah, but where are my manners? I am Lakrai." He bowed slightly. "Nice to meet you."
"As far as my problems, they are mostly sorted. I am only left with the aftermath of several mistakes I made concerning a lady." He shook his head lightly. "I have only to find her, appologize, and move on with my life."

Sara got up quickly, and walked over to the sleeping kiin. She leaned down and sniffed her, noticing that she was asleep. She backed up as quietly as she could, not wanting to wake her up. She glanced over at the female, and smiled. "Hi, im Sara." She said in a whispery voice, not wanting to wake up the other kiin.
Sara looked at lakrai and frowned. "Arent you going to stay?" She asked, hoping he would say yes. She liked him alot. He treated her fairly, and not like she was stupid or immature because she was a kiin. "I dont want you to leave.."
