I just watched the movie yesterday after school (a friend of mine always has his DVD player with him), and despite the high level of gore and language I thought it was an amazing film 
V was a great character, I loved him from the moment he started the alliterations. I still want to know what he looked like underneath the mask... though if his face got burned off, it probably wouldn't be pretty at all. Even if he was a killing maniac, he was still such a loveable character, and he was very wise, to that point. I cried when they killed him.
I found it funny that the High Chancellor was just this big talking TV screen for half the movie. It was like one of the bad sci-fi films, but it helped you distance yourself from his character even more because his presence was very impersonal.
Did the little girl with the glasses really get killed? I think I saw her at the very end of the movie when everyone takes their masks off, but I might have been imagining things.
