I just saw the most awsome play ever!! It is called Wicked. It was great. I was even able to purchase the soundtrack. Wicked is about the Witches of The Wizard of OZ and their side of the story(which I find to be much better). It even tells you how the lion, the scarecrow and the tinman come to be.

I loved that show. I saw it last year when our chorus took a trip to Broadway. The music is awesome. The book is good too. Have you read the book? It's a lot different from the show, but it's very good.
My favorite scene in the show was the song No Good Deed. It was exactly the way I pictured it.

I bought the book. I was going to try to read it before the play,but I had to finish another book first and didn't end up having time. My favorite song and scene is Dancing Through Life.

I tend to go for minor music, so Dancing Through Life isn't one of my favorites. I love I'm Not That Girl, but the scene that goes with it wasn't great. I did really like As Long as You're Mine, though.

I just liked the character who sings it so pretty much every song he was in I liked. I also liked No One Mourns the Wicked because of the mood , Popular because Glinda is especially energetic and funny in that song, and In the Emerald City.

Yeah, I loved the whole show. It was my first time at Broadway, so that was pretty exciting in and of itself, plus Wicked just might be the best Broadway show ever. I'm not going to stake anything on that, though.
Popular isn't one of my favorites because Glinda's voice gets on my nerves a little. I like Elphaba's songs much more. Although the duet For Good is very nice.

I agree, it's very funny to listen to, I just can't listen for very long. I have the soundtrack (or rather, my sister does), and I usually skip that song.
I think the song I like the least is Sentimental Man. That one is just so annoying, and I don't like his voice at all. It suits his character, of course, but still.

Hm, I'm going to have to think about how I would cast my pykiin. I think Rensai as Elphaba, and maybe Eraina as Galinda. Dashain as Fiero, Lakrai as the Wizard. Sorka could be Nessa, I suppose.

There's a second book by Maguire called Son of a Witch. I have it on CD but haven't got around to reading Wicked so i haven't listened to it yet.

I haven't read Son of a Witch, but I have read some of his other works, including Mirror, Mirror and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.
