He likes to play, and he doesn't like people pittying him, or treating him like a little kiin. He doesn't like people touching him, either, and tries to claw at whoever does. But he gets frightened fairly easily, and he is calm when that happens.

He wants to say things, but he can't. Mizu doesn't think he's able to talk, and he might be a little slower at learning. When he fell from the Dryad, he hit rather hard on the ground, and Mizu thinks that might be why he can't talk. But he cannot make noises, either, so Mizu doesn't think Kawa will ever be able to talk. However, Ume, his mother, seems confident that he'll be able to talk. Or, at least, she seems rather hopeful.

Also, not that it matters much, but he's left-handed.
