My first flitter, gifted anonymously. Isn't she a beautiful lady? Thank you so, so much, whomever you are.
Athena is named for the Greek goddess of war and wisdom, daughter of Zeus. She is like her namesake in some things: she can be very regal and haughty to those she thinks are below her. It takes a lot to gain her respect, but even more to lose it once gained. However, if you do lose her trust, it is nearly impossible to get it back. She is unfailingly loyal to those who are loyal to her, and she will do anything to protect her friends. She keeps her own counsel, but if you ask her advice, she will give it fully. Be careful not to ask her for something you don't want, for she will give it to you.
Despite these serious attributes, Athena has a playful side. She is good with kiins, and enjoys playing with them. She would never do anything to harm them, and protects them as fiercly as she does her friends. Her favorite games are running or flying obstacle courses, hunts, or games like tag and hide-and-seek. She considers herself good at all of them, but is not a sore loser or a sore winner.
She lives in a small Valley next to the Dryad's Valley with Apollo, Anubis, and Nephele. She intends to establish something like the Temple the Chosen had at her old home in Olympus.
Athena is building a family in the Valley. Her daughter, Kiarilia, named for her late sister, is grown and left the Temple valley for the main Valley. Her son Jupiter has never lived with her. She has a son, Lyrilar, who she hopes will prove a more satisfactory offspring than Rilia. Athena is not looking for a soulmate, though she has no objection to having kiins. And plans, of course, are subject to change. She is part of Raenia's Pride, but does not consider the members as family.
She had a large extended family in Olympus, where she lived before coming to the Valley. She was particularly close to her sister, Kiarilia, later Hestia. Hestia's murder is the event that drove Athena from Olympus. She could not bear all the memories the place held. Those memories can still bring her to tears if they come upon her suddenly.
Athena described her favorite place in Olympus for a contest in An'ethyst.
