Can anyone help me? I'm drawing some lineart and I can't get the snout, eyes, wings, or feet to look too great. Any suggestions?

What are you drawing? I'm not that good at drawing, so I probably can't help, but I'll try.

Well, I can't really explain it, so I'll just give reference to the thins I need. Cat/jackal like ears, I got the eyes, so I'm good with those, a very curved snout, such as one that would be on a small dog, and cat like paw, and angelic like wings.

All I can suggest is get some good reference pictures. I always have trouble with the snout/muzzle and feet of anything I draw.

Sure thing ^^ I'd be glad to help, but just make sure it's a clear picture for me. Sometimes cameras are a little picky with drawings.

Alright, I think your biggest problem for this pose was the slope of the back - the way it slopes upwards only works if the creature has its back paws supported by a higher object, such as a stone or a hill. So, that accounted for most of those icky red lines - re-positioning the hindquarters. Other than that and the balance (standing with its feet together), you pretty much had it down well ^^ Now, I'm just going to explain the red lines here, so you can see why I marked it up so much. Ears - very good, I'd just lower the farthest one a tad and perhaps make them pointier, but that's up to you. Muzzle - also very good - I just rounded it off a bit. You had the length correct, though, which is a hard thing to get the feel for ^^ Eye - I just really like drawing eyes. Don't mind it at all ^^; Farthest front paw - added for interest and balance. You don't need to keep it though, it would do fine without. Front paw - simply point the toes outward for balance and accentuate the "ankle". Stomach and back - repositioning. I also curved them a bit, but that's part of my style. Back legs - I pulled the two apart for balance - if they're too close together, the creature seems ready to fall over. I also pointed the closest paws slightly outward for more balance. I really liked the form of the back legs, though, they were bent very naturally. Tail - Repositioning. You had gorgeous form on the tail, I'd just suggest to make the very tip a bit pointier to finish it. I'm going to work on a quick version with something supporting the back legs, so you can see how the pose would have worked that way. And I'm really sorry if I marked it up too much - sometimes I can be a bit over-enthusiastic with redlining. *hides* But you had a very very good start to it, and with practice you could really get good at drawing! Everyone starts somewhere - just for laughs, here's where I started: i6.photobucket.com/albums/y231/chantillykitty13/AlyssaW.jpg*hides even more* that was only about two years ago, believe it or not...

Here's how it would work with something under it's back feet, too. Glad I could help ^^ I just noticed you wanted help with wings, too. I can help you with that, too, so just let me know if you'd like more reference. He was a present for my best friend... when I found it again this year I decided that she needed something better, so I made her a clay snake. I never got a picture of it, but it was one of my best - just a small snake with a mane and big horns on his head. I wrote something on the bottom with paint, too, but I can't remember what it said.

Ooh, thanks for the pedistol idea ^^ It makes things look more naturual Ooh, yeah, wings would be nice to if it would be possible, but don't go out of your way to do it..if you are bored and have nothing to do, then think about it, I don't want to cut into your day
