So, I was feeling random and drew and colored a replica of a dream catcher that means so much to me and my family. Well, I am part Alaskan Native. My father's mom was huge on dreamcatchers. She would make them day in and day out. It was truely amazing. She loved to make differnet designs and she had an array of colored beads that she would randomly add onto her peice as she made them. Unfortunatly, her home burnt down about three months before she passed, all of her dreamcatchers were engulfed in the flames. The one she did save though was quite similar to the one I drew. It had the same colors, and caribou hide is what covered the branch she bent in order to weave the design. She left the same random area in the center. The funny thing is I never quite figured out what it was. xD Well, if you can't tell it's an Orca's tail. When she did pass, the one thing she wished for us to do was bury her with her last dreamcatcher. We followed her instruction, and placed it in her arms before we closed the casket. So, this 'replica' means a bunch to me. <3
