I'm kinda confuzzled. ^_^;; I was making a thread a few minutes ago and I came to a bit of trouble. Would Amai be a Miss, Ms. or Mrs.? She has two kiin, and she's in love but not soulmated. I think that means that she's a Ms., but I'm not really sure. (Meaning that for those of you who saw the thread, I obviously labeled it wrong. )

Miss- never been married so i would be a miss :3 Ms.- has been married but no longer Mrs- is married just replace married with soulmated :3

I think it's a little more complicated that that. Sometimes Ms. is used as an abbreviation for Miss. Ms. can also be used if you don't know if the woman is married or not. Then we have to consider if marriage is closer to mating or soulmating. For some people, of course, marriage is a soulmating, but for many others, it's nowhere near.

I think for a pykiin's case married would be the same as soulmated though.

Ms. actually came around because of the feminist movement. Back in the olden days when fathers would introduce their daughters to men they wanted her to marry, he would make sure to say 'miss' so the man would know his daughter is available.
Ms. (pronounced 'mizz') has been put into practice in our society so that females can feel free to introduce themselves without telling whether they're married or not, since that is her business and not anyone else's.

So would that mean that Amai would be a Ms., since she's not really 'available'?

She could be if she doesn't want to give away a clue she is soulmated or whatever. Or she could use Miss since she isn't soulmated. ((This is just what i think XD))

*shrug* It doesn't really matter to her. I wanted to know because I was curious, and it also applies to Yume, so.... ^_^;;

Yeah I think she would be Miss or Ms., depending on which she wanted.
